REBELS SEASON THREE TRAILER SPOILERRIFFIC!!!!

By Tailsgod, in X-Wing

Not to mention they seem to bringing back Dark Troopers at least in some shape or form, as well as the idea of the Imperial Supertroopers aka what Boba Fett was going to be before they decided to make him a Bounty Hunter instead. And if we are seeing Saber squadron or at least blood stripped Interceptors maybe we'll get to see Fel this season too.

Dark Troopers were Storm Trooper assault droids. These look like Shadow Troopers, which were Storm Troopers with improved anti-detection coatings and gear for Shadowspawn's black ops missions.

The Darktroopers we see are very much droids. If it wasn't for they stylization of Rebels, they would be a mix of the Phase I and II Darktroopers. I think you are thinking of Rogue One's Death Troopers.

There are also the Phase 0 Dark Troopers who were cyborgs created as a method of recycling aging clone troopers.

WOAH. So much goodness! Nothing much I can say that hasn't already been said!

But we still have questions:

who's eyes do we see at 3:12? Another inquisitor?

Who are they two pilots with Wedge? Blonde male and black haired girl. Could the blonde be Tycho?

Oh boy, this is gonna be good!

I dig Kanan's new faceplate

Ezra's joining the secretive order of jedi, the Neutral Side.

Only through Contentment will he find true power.

I am glad Thrawn is in the series. I liked his character in the Zahn Trilogy. I wasn't a huge fan of the books. I didn't like how everything that happened in the second book was null and void one chapter into book 3. But he was one of the best characters in the trilogy. Good to see him on screen

So Wedge defects from the Empire giving cause for Irina Spalko to contact grand admiral thrawn so discount Harrison Ford (Dash Rendar) can help our heroes fight the empire, and along the way Ezra becomes a close resembelance to star killer... I love it!

GurL, not Guri. They had an Ahsoka panel.

Warning: Dave Filoni makes Ashley Eckstein cry.

Yeah what meanie SB says.

;)

Sums it up just fine... prolly.

Can't wait!

While it is a YT-2400 (Witwer showed off his geek cred with that), Filoni confirmed it wasn't the Outrider.

Love Kanan now sporting that John Wick look, just hope the Empire dosn`t steal his ride and shoot his pet

Everyone's commenting on Wedge being in the show.

Nobody has yet mentioned the pilot next to him....

Tycho Celchu.

Eh...source for that? I mean, it'd be cool, but...can't make anything out that would indicate that??

Big fan that Kanan is still blind.

1) Shows the Force is something beyond the physical in a non-trivial way (the opposite of Yoda using a lightsaber)

2) Is a physical reminder of the stakes and risks the Rebels take (they'd been getting away scott-free a few too many times). Bionic eyes or something would've negated this.

3) A major character in a popular children's cartoon has a disability! For something so common in real life, I'm glad to see more representation of it in media.

At the end the Gunboat will appear in Rebels...

And then all will be better

Still trying to get that gunboat. It would be nice to have a two firepower cannon 2x missile and SLAM ship. And a title that makes it a missile boat with 1 less firepower but missile slots get EM tokens on them.

It looks like he does get his sight back. In the scene where Maul and Ezra are attempting to merge the holocrons, if you freeze the video, you can see that Kanan is not wearing his mask. I think he will get his sight back with the help of the green force (?) ghosts, possibly those of the Witches of Danthomir (my guess), seen in the trailer.

The Assault Gunboat doesn't have SLAM, but I would do her anyway.

... so what ship is FFG gonna put his ass in?

*fingers crossed for Quasar Fire carrier*

Excited for this, but Thrawn will be ruined. The Rebels have to beat him because theyre the protagonists, but going by the books they really dont have the skill.

Timothy Zahn was brought back to help them on it

And I have a gut feeling Lucasfiln will be reluctant to kill him off as quickly this time. I feel this won't be the last we see of good old Thrawn even beyond the book

I doubt it will be that straight forward

He's probably Rey's dad.

Just kidding

Rey's mother. They'll reveal that Chiss men carry and birth the children. There are no Chiss women. And Luke is Rey's father, through the Force, so she can think she's fatherless just like Grandpa Vader.

Darth Vader was the overarching villain of Season 2, and he was never beaten by the protagonists of Rebels.

I'm not sure where the worries about him being ruined come from. Maul, Vader, Tarkin, Ahsoka, Rex, etc. weren't ruined by the show. Most of the disappointment with Rebels comes from the original characters.
