Frankly, Lucas' whole Midichlorians thing seems like it would only reinforce that kind of idea. The idea of an animal that suppresses some microscopic bacteria in your blood makes even more sense than an animal that turns off spirit magic.

What this filoni needs to realize is...that contradicting Lucas's ideas is probably the BEST thing anyone can do to improve the universe.

Filonis best work so far for star wars was 50 hours of prequels episodes, working closely with George Lucas and doing tons of work for some of GLs ideas (we all know that GL can not write a script to save his life)

The Clone Wars outshines Rebels by a whole magnitude. Dave Filoni is basically the guy who made america the prequels great again.

Filoni knows his ****. He had proven this in Rebels and Avatar: The last Airbender as well. Rebels is great in context of the target audience which disney wanted for it. Small children, but it certainly is no TCW.

And speaking of movies: I wish they would give Filoni some more animated star wars movies, the thrawn trilogy for example would work as animated movie.

It will be interesting seeing the younger fan response to Thrawn. Maul's repeating is majority to do with how bonkers kids go for him and respond to his look, I can only wonder if kids will think he's as cool.

Do remember that TCW wasn't that amazing at three seasons, either. I wish they would have skipped some of that build up part, but I guess thats easier said than done. If we measure by TCW, Rebels still has a bit of time to show its qualities. There certainly have been big highlights, but the overall qualitity needs some work.

From what I can tell Filoni was only really involved in one episode of Avatar from a writter's perspective. His IMDB page credits him for the episode The Serpent's Pass . He is listed as a storyboard artist for several S1 episodes though as well as character design for the series.

The cool thing about the 2400 was that Amy Beth Christiansen originally designed the ship for Shadows of the Empire. She's currently working on Rebels and was responsible for the look of the ship in Rebels.
