I am fully on board with the campaign pack being used as a method of bringing new squadrons into the world without requiring me to buy more models.

Icing on the cake would be 1 or 2 new titles for several ships and some new unique squadrons for existing models.

She is - they said that this is where that art is going to be used (according to a post on the NoVA fleet facebook page). They had a pic of the slide as well (but I still can't get images to work)
Very interesting and exciting. Tough to tell with the picture but it looks like we get another asteroid obstacle with another station. Are those also objective cards face down? It also looks like some kind of card with a green backing, new type of card I presume for the campaign?
Looking forward to the preview article.
The photo only seems to show a single squadron damage card dial on the right hand side, probably for Ciena Ree.
Hopefully there will be an Imperial one too, perhaps it is a stack of them?
More missions could be nice. The green backed cards could be campaign specific rules, random encounters, disasters or goodies for controlling various systems.

Judging by the image of the playing field, we have a map of the Corellian sector , where the Corellian Trade Spine separates from the Corellian Run (links to Wookieepedia).
What I don't know is if that central area is the Corellian sector, or if it's the Corellian system. Does anybody have the Suns of Fortune supplement for Edge of Empire?

2500 points per side sounds like a fun saturday, but most people will be a bit strapped to put that on the table
A person who bought two of eveything can field 420 in squads.
If they have 2 of each of the first two waves of ships, that is another 730.
Use Ackbar because he is expensive...
1188 on table before upgrades. Short 1312. Thats 130 points in upgrades per ship.
It's probably 2500 per side, with multiple players on one side. That way, people aren't as strapped to put models on the table.
2000 points a side sounds extreme. Still, I love this concept. Definitely going to make it easier to get people together for a weekly thing. You know, except for that 2000 Point thing.
Plus, we don't know at this point what the points are of the stuff that's included in the game itself... Being that it might add point advantages-and-disadvantages to bulk up a force...
I'm excited. I just wish I knew a timeframe to I could budget my excitement.

I've always wanted a campaign game/system for Armada and this may be a dream come true. I've always felt Armada would be a better campaign game than a tourney game.
