Chopper doesn't clear your stress, he just lets you take actions whilst you have it. Maybe read the cards before providing incorrect answers?

You're thinking of Electronic Baffles.

if chopper cleared your stress he wouldnt be 0pts. That would be 100% better than Baffles since it deals damage, clears stress, AND lets you elect to do it later in case you need it while Baffles requires you to do it NOW, leaving you with this "is it worth it?" option.

In the unlikely event it matters, you take the damage after BOTH actions are complete - so, if one of them fails, you would take only 1 damage.
