ADZ-Class Destroyer floor plans

By baterax, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

Anyone have some?

If not, I could use floor plans for an Imperial ship of similar size/stats...

I couldn't find any...but it's a pretty small ship for having a capital designation. Its complement of TIE fighters is only 6 according to Wookieepedia. And it looks fairly boxy. Let's say TIE hangar in the forward area, engine block and prisoner cells at the rear, command tower up top with essential systems, crew quarters for 50 in the middle.

Holy ****!!! Amazing. Thank you!

Ok it's not in there, and I've emailed the dude and he doesn't wanna do it since the ship is larger than 50m.

Geez...

I might have a scenario where the players will board it, I really need those floor plans...

Or a similar ship, which is nowhere to be seen, since that site has that size limit...

Yeah, I've had "issues" with the guy in the past over our interpretations of various ships' floor plans. In particular the YZ-900, and whether or not it should have one or two decks (officially, it's two, according to WotC, who first created and published the ship). I'd help you out, but I don't know anything about that ship, can't really afford to take on "freebie" jobs, and can't legally charge for fan art.

This wiki: http://www.sw-fans.net/wiki/index.php/Adz-class_Patrol_Destroyer has a pretty good entry on it, and a pic. I really don't see why you can't just design the important parts (flight deck/cargo bay, and bridge), and just have indeterminate hallways and rooms for the rest? I mean, this is basic GMing stuff.

I understand that your table probably has a very representationalist background, but this - creating floorplans - is what you're supposed to do as a GM.

I mean it can't be too hard for someone who's already done a few ships. The book has enough stats to guess how large it is:

Hull Type/Class: Destroyer/Adz.

Manufacturer: Kuat Drive Yards.

Hyperdrive: Primary: Class 2, Backup: Class 1 2.

Navicomputer: Yes.

Sensor Range: Extreme.

Ship’s Complement: 30 officers, pilots, and crew.

Starfighter Complement: 6 .

Encumbrance Capacity: 250.

Passenger Capacity: 8 troops.

Consumables: 5 months.

Price/Rarity: 4,450,000 credits ®/7.

Customization Hard Points: 1

Weapons: Two forward and one aft dorsal turret- mounted quad laser cannons (Fire Arc All; Damage 5; Critical 5; Range [Close]; Accurate 1, Linked 5).

Two port and two starboard turret-mounted light ion cannons (Fire Arc All; Damage 5; Critical 4; Range [Close]; Ion).

I'd even try myself, except I've never done any floor plans in my life, and I have no idea what that ship looks like on the outside, so I wouldn't know the general shape it would have.

I should reiterate: It doesn't need to be THIS ship. I'll take any other ship of similar size that could be owned by an Imperial Agent (meaning it should be made by one of the manufacturers we know work for the Empire, so for example, it couldn't be Corellian).

Yes, and I do them, when it's a base or something else I can freely create in any size, shape and number of floors I want. Ships must be "accurate" about those things, so things get a little more complicated... But thanks for providing the first external shot of this ship I've seen.

Why? You submitting your campaign exploits to Disney for entry into the canon lore?

Because it's my campaign and I want it to be accurate.

Because I want to share it so others can use it. And I want to feel good when they do. This won't happen if I half-ass it.

Because it's going into my campaign book that I'm going to try to publish.

Because I will be using it when I DM my campaign live on my streaming channel.

So it's long & narrow, right? I would just adapt a CR90 deckplan, or another similar deckplan from a similar corvette-class ship. From the Colonial Chrome site, the CR-90, 'Loturn' space frigate, CEC gunboat, Discril assault frigate, and Marauder corvette are all probably close enough.

Given that the passenger capacity is so small, you could just as easily use something smaller, like the Action transport, KDY Sublimation or space barge, or Lamuir yacht.

It's important to remember that, unlike WWII warship deckplans, Star Wars spaceship deckplans do not necessarily closely follow the contours of the ship. Deviation is likely, so your deckplans don't need to be an exact match. Your dedication to detail is commendable, but I think you're getting too far into the weeds with this. If substituting one deckplan for another isn't acceptable to you, why not just substitute a different ship - one that you have/can find a viable deckplan for?

Exactly. You can just make it up yourself and no one will know the difference.

I've stated that a different ship will work!

But I haven't been able to find one that would suit this, of that size and with stats AND A floorplan.

Here, maybe if I actually tell you guys the ship's role in the campaign, that'll make things easier:

There's a villain dude in the campaign who chases the players around, an Imperial Agent. This would be his ship.

I need it to be big enough that it demands respect and can't be easily shot down, but not as big and bulky (and with a complicated floor plan) as a Star Destroyer.

*I* will know.

How about the: ILH-KK Citadel-class cruiser ?

This is a very good sized armed transport that is extremely versatile, and can be flown by a relatively small crew.

The ship is 36 meters long and about 18 meters wide, with 2 decks. The floor plan is not complicated, but it has everything in it.

It is a very versatile ship, having 2 "docking clamps" for transporting fighters, it is the smallest ship of its class that has a tractor beam, and is otherwise well armed.

It also has a passenger capacity of about 14, and also has a very reasonable cargo capacity.

Not surprisingly it also functions well as a "luxury cruiser", when equipped with the right furnishings.

There are some floor plans for this ship on the internet, but was not quite happy with any of them. Some quite obviously do not appreciate the scale of the ship.

So, I created my own variation, putting together the best ideas I found elsewhere. You will find more information on Wookieepedia:

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/ILH-KK_Citadel-class_civilian_cruiser

and in EotE p260.

Here are the links to my floor plans:

Better for printing, the PDF (12.3 MB):

As you will notice, the plans are definitely leaning towards the luxury variation of the ship, so I am not sure if this suites the style of your villain, but anyway, take a look.

Ooooh this would be perfect if the plans weren't totally civilian.

Hmmm the guy is Imperial so it's unlikely he'd have a ship like this but what the hell. I'll have this guy be different.

Thank you! I'm using it.

Glad I could help!

You are welcome to use it however you like (send me a link if you ever publish anything...).

I think the plans could be relatively easily modified to give a more "military" effect. For example by changing some of the background textures (starting with the blue "luxury" carpeting effect).

And maybe you want to remove some of the other luxury items, like the gym and the bar...

So, if you are proficient with PowerPoint, and if you would like to make some changes, then download the "source" file:

http://fringer.space/ilh-kk/ilh-kk.pptx.zip

I created the floor plan using PowerPoint 2011 for Mac (version 14.6.3) :)

I decided to use the floorplan from the Horizon mod of a 3rd party ship designer. If you purchase the product, it comes with a military version called the Horizon which matches quite well. It doesn't match the canon exterior but I like it a lot!
