Are we actually expecting an X-Wing product annoucement at SWCE, or is there too much in the pipeline right now?

By overduegalaxy, in X-Wing

The back of the SF is very different from the TIE-FO, has a view port and to engines on the sides, in triangle like extensions. Then there are the cogs on the wings struts.

Yeah we already know who the pilots in Heroes of the Resisstance are- and it is PS9 Poe, Nien Numb, Snap Wexley, and Jess Pava.

Not any Rogue One people in it at all, unless Nien Numb makes an appearance in the movie...which I doubt.

Oops, I woke up at 6 am to see the stream.

Gunboat!!!

I can confirm that X-Wing products will come from Rogue One. Details emerging later.

Umm, they've confirmed that we were getting stuff from Rogue One awhile ago.

Later as in later today?

Well. The thing is we know they were forced to re-shoot bits of it, and that could be bad as in Disney execs demanding it not be the ground war film I was hoping for. Probably wanted to make it more family friendly, I'm expecting Jar Jar and Ewoks now.

I hope it's good. But I am already feeling that Vader in it is a bad sign of it being a bit fan servicey. Which i didn't want to see really.

Rogue 1 set to add new X-Wing and Y-Wing pilots. new sculpt/paint schemes, and the X wing fix!

Calling it now.

Star Wars Celebration Europe has gone and past.

All with zero X-Wing fanfare.

It's possible that there's Rogue One content in heroes of the resistance, and that content could be spoiled.

There clearly isn't. And if it was Rogue One stuff, I doubt FFG would able to announce it.

So who are the other two x wing pilots?

From a couple of pages back, but I didn't see a clear answer: the t70 pilots are "Snap" Wexley, Jess Pava and Nien Nunb in addition to PS9 Poe. I.e. 3 of the 4 named characters from the art books who accompanied Poe on the Starkiller Base assault. We can see enough of the names in the card fan to be sure of that.

This doesn't preclude there being a T65 fix card in there (Pr... Thru... could well be, and Integrated Astromech is definitely in the twice more) but those pilots are definitely not T65 pilots, because the only time they've included pilot cards for ships not in the box was MOst Wanted and that was to launch a whole new faction. Not to mention the T70 artwork on the cards...

There's a lot of bull**** around the reshoots. They were scheduled before filming began and they have nothing to do with changing the tone. The director wanted to change around some of the cockpit dialogue or something.

the reshoots were scheduled from the bening. its luxury disney can afford. not some sort of a fix. that rumors was blown way out of proportion and its not true in that way.

"It already seems more war-like than the average Star Wars movie, at least in part thanks to the influence of Tony To, who produced HBO’s stellar WWII miniseries Band of Brothers, along with The Pacific. Director Gareth Edwards (Godzilla) and Lucasfilm head Kathleen Kennedy have also gushed about the film’s guerilla-style, shoulder-mounted camerawork, which they promise will make for an “incredibly immersive experience.”

YUP... people that do not understand how films are made got on board with this pop-culture-stupidity as soon as this was mentioned on some ass-hat's film news site.

Jedi Council has felt the need to address this in their last few shows because... well there are a lot of stupids on-line and such.

what i heard on the news was literally "Disney execs have asked for re-shoots after seeing Rogue One"

Star Wars Celebration Europe has gone and past.

All with zero X-Wing fanfare.

No X-wing info, no official Rogue One trailer #2 (no, the behind the scenes trailer doesn't count) and no official title for episode 8. This weekend was a big disappointment for me. Thrawn is the only thing that somewhat saved an otherwise dull info dump.
