With Vets just being released, and both Wave 9 and Heroes announced and on the way, should we expect new product announcements? Or does FFG have their fingers in enough pies right now for X-Wing?

I don't think they are having a presentation at Celebration. It is possible, but I think with Heroes and Wave IX, they will save anymore big announcements for Gencon.

I'm hoping for a Rogue One Core Set but I'm not holding my breath. They have a lot going on right now with one expansion just released and two on the horizon. A Scum Epic ship announcement would be cool too. Perhaps, Vets took so long because they're covertly working on something that'll be announced this weekend but, again, I doubt it.

They will not spoil a Wave until the next Wave is released so we may get an Epic ship, and Ace box or something new and different.

Rebel Veterans? My preference, X and E wings

Scum Aces? Most needed Starviper and M-3A

IF anything, I'd put money on this.

FWIW, there are things we "know" it cannot be:

• Anything wave 10
• Rebel Veterans (for sure someday, but 'Heroes of the Resistance' is giving us a bunch of Rebel ships alongside wave 9, so...too soon)

A few things are still 'expected' for an undetermined future release that it might be:

• 'Rogue One' ships (IMHO, likely this is wave 10, so...odds are not good. But it might not be wave 10, so...)
• Scum Aces
• Scum Veterans

...I don't see any of these as likely as a Scum 'Epic' ship, though.

Im very skeptical that they are even working on a rogue one core set, TFA core set just came out last year. If they release a rogoue one core set then they are setting themselves up to do a new core set for every movie

I agree, I dont' think there will be a Rouge One core set. Maybe wave 10 will be a Rouge One wave.... and would't the fanbois be happy if a certain imperial min-shuttle with a ton of missiles shows up in the movie.

Between July 31, 2015 and August 13, 2015 we were waiting for: Wave 7, Imperial Raider, Imperial Assault Carrier, and Wave 8, all at the same time.

Between August 16 and September 25 of 2014 we were waiting for: Wave 5, Rebel Aces, and Wave 6 (including Most Wanted), at the same time

Between June 13 and June 26 of 2013 we waited for: Wave 4, Rebel Aces, and Wave 5 at the same time.

Right now we are a bit light, historically speaking, merely waiting for Wave 9 and Heroes of the Resistance. Note that the pile-ups occur around Gen Con.

We could easily add announcements for anything (Scum Epic, Scum Aces, or Wave 10) at Gen Con and not be setting any new records.

Secondly, the "Rogue" in "Rogue One" has nothing to do with the "Rogue" in "Rogue Squadron", as far as I understand. Thus, the new movie is not an obvious source for new starships in this miniatures game. I have seen the two pics floating around, of course.

A new core set is possible. And it wouldn't necessarily mean one per movie, but rather one per era. I know that Rogue one almost overlaps the original trilogy, but from the trailer, it seems a lot of the tech is different.

I doubt they'd announce it this early though. It feels like something they'd spring almost last minute, as a surprise, probably at Disney's request.

First of all, they'd be T-70 pilots, right? So wrong era. To be fair, it could be a bit like Most Wanted, where cards in a pack don't match the ships in the pack, but I doubt it.

Rebel Vets, Scum Aces or a wave9 Rogue One tie in would all be plausible. But not Wave10.

No need for a core set. Just as Scum & Villainey (an entire new faction) was "only" introduces with a large box, so could Rogue One, which supposedly is just som fixes to ships we know and love.

The introduction of the TFA coreset coincided with a lot of fundamentals like tha damage deck they wanted to change, and Disney aquiring and rebooting SW anew, we are not in that situation now.

i'd agree, if anything a scum epic or aces. Theyre due one and afaik they havnt had an out-of-wave release.

I would be very surprised to see another Imp box so soon, HOTR is easily this era's rebel out of wave, and until wave9 comes i would be even more surprised to see wave10.

Technically an epic for imp/rebel would be possible but if they do then they are going to get a lot of flak. I dont even play scum...at all...and i want an epic scum because i have several scum friends (that sounds weird saying rofl) that like epic but have no big ships.
