Wes, Tycho, and Jake

I've been flying this list for a while with pretty good success and am wondering how to improve it.

Jake Ferrell (24)

PTL (3)

VI (1)

Autothrusters (2)

A wing test pilot (0)

Proton Rockets (3)

Tycho Celcu (26)

Wes Janson (29)

VI (1)

R3-A2 (2)

It comes out to 100 points, so no initiative bid here. But, it's meant to stress an already stressed ace to make it predictable and then procket it. In other cases, wes shoots, strips a token, and opens up prockets. After the prockets are spent, I just arc dodge and hopefully do enough damage to destroy them.

I was hoping to see "walk into a bar."

Would an arc not better to apply stress as it can destress itself via crew and/or astromech interactions?

Oh and Wes with a br sounds better too, especially if you build him up to such a high PS and have the mod slot free anyway.

This is an ace-killing list, to be sure. And truly, I can't think of a Palp-aaces or triple aces list that can compete with this.

However, you seem to have fallen into the classic trap of building a list to counter a particular threat without considering other prevalent quads.

A-wings go downhill very, very fast after the prockets, and no amount of push the limit shenanigans can build up a two die attack. Wes loses his lustre against swarms and anything not relying on a stress mechanic (I.e. jumpmasters, B-wings or Poe).

i would suggest swapping out Tycho for Poe. 35 points is enough for Poe with VI and Autothrusters, with a 1 pt initiative bid. This gives you some permanent offensive firepower without much cost to your alpha strike or overall survivability.
