Someone wrote in my book

By Magic Pink, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

I just unwrapped the shrink on my brand new copy and found someone had written what looks like a huge "720" on the inside of the back cover of the main rulebook in blue pen.

Have I been screwed over or is this actually some kind of autograph?

edit: Actually, it looks like it says "230".

Probably a print #. Like book 720 out of 1,000 book run. My guess.

But then wouldn't EVERYONE have something written on the back cover of their books?

Dude, I think you got pnwed by the 720 ELF!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Maybe it's the opposite of 4-20?

Maybe it's a mark of Chaos. You are a Chosen GM of the Ruinous Forces.

I'm gonna have to write '731' in mine now to be one better...

*Edit - maybe I should have written '729' instead - ****.

Hey! I want my book to be signed by a robot too! sad.gif

NO FAIR.

...this is bull$#!t...

Well, I talked to FFG and they confirmed some shmoe at the printers did, in fact, just write in the freaking book. So they're sending me a new one.

Perhaps they are psychic and have written next weeks lottery numbers spread across various books in various sets....

Nope. Odds are either they thought the count was off & had to do a hand count. or they took a brake/reset the count for one reason or another and "marked " where they left off The Schmoe in question should have marked the # on a slip rather then in the book.

Wasn't there a contest that said whoever had the "magic number" hidden in their book would get to go a special tour or the mysterious FFG game factory?

Bad idea. Wait a few years, and your book could be sold at higher price on NobleKnight on ebay. Believe me, there will be some, who would pay more for a unique, signed WFRP, because they are rare.
