Star Wars Fans ruin X-Wing not FFG!

By Tritus De, in X-Wing

Yeah you heard me. I've read so much negativity in the short time I've been a member of this forum it is clear that something needs to be done.

As mentioned above there is an ignore button you can use. And yes, some of the comments about cards, ships and whatevers still rankles but take it with a tums and let it go. Some people aren't happy unless their complaining about something. Some do it just to hear themselves.

Relax, fly what you like and ignore the roids. Both on the table and in the forums.

See there are cool Star Brothers here too. Stony is on my short list. See if he will be your buddy here too. You'll be his buddy want 'cha budie. :)

JBR, unsure how to take your comment. The old saying, "friends are friends, pals are pals but you always **** your buddy" comes to mind. Please clarify. ;-)

You Nasty Ole-Buzzard!

True, but I'd still like clarification. <G>

Star Wars fan here... play and enjoy X-Wing. There used to be store, regional and national championships in our part of world. Stock is no longer supplied by the local FFG distributors since Disney told them to stop.

Now the game's growth has slowed and it's sad how much has changed in the span of a year.

So contrary to the title... FFG/Disney's change in licensing has negatively affected X-Wing, Imperial Assault and Armada over here. We diehard fans still play as much as we can, but the potential for community growth is missed.

Where?

well, at least it's right about FFG not ruining anything

behold the glory!

So nice, I liked it twice :)

I didnt like the ship in the CGI images previous to the preview...

And i dont like the prequels at all.

But the model of the ARC is GORGEOUS!

I dont care if is from Rebels, Clone Wars, or even Expanded Universe.

If it's a nice model... I WANT IT!!!

Back to the topic, this forum, even with the posts about some Lambda with missiles, or the Xwing Fix, or whatever topic, is very alive and interesting...

not like the spanish one...

You just have to laugh at the nonsenses...

Nothing can ruin this game. The world is a big place- this forum is a SMALL slice of the planet-pie.

(I don't think the OP is a "Star Wars fan", because the OP would have used "we" or "us players". Trekkie...ish post)

Exactly why I don't care what other people think. My wife says it makes me a jerk but who cares!

Fish are friends, not food!

Disney told them to stop? do tell...

It is with a heavy heart that I now go and read a different thread.

Best of luck to you Titus. I belong to a couple of other non Star Wars forums that have a rule about "I am done posting here" threads. They ban the users for 1 year and enforce the goodbye. It was nice, because it really cut down on those threads and people who posted it had to take it seriously.

I get a little sad at the forums from time to time but you know what I think at the end of the day we are going to be ok. Hang in there friendo.

My father works with some of the worst people in the world, a serial killer that has no remorse for what he has done, a bunch of murders and child molesters most who will never see the night of day again, 75% of the them try to get reactions from him because there is nothing else they can do as they waste away, or if they can get my dad off base he will make a mistake so they can break out or use it as power over him. When I talk to him about hard stuff he reminds me that most of life is mind over matter. He does not mind because (person/place/thing) does not matter. In the end people here you will never met and if you do they will be much nicer in RL then the forums anyway. Do your best and keep your nose clean. Take a break from time to time and remember your here because you have a Plastic Crack Addiction not because of a bunch of random people talking about random things.

There is a lot of content in the various subforums here. If the main threads get tiresome, try squad-building or painting subforums. Those ones rock!

If X-Wing was a single player game, this wouldn't be an issue.

I like the original trilogy. I treat the prequels as what they are: garbage.

If I don't like the ships from the prequel, if you use them, I'm still having to play with them, and it's lessening my experience.

I don't have much control over this matter, and if I were a competitive player I'd not make a fuss over it. But the reality is that more garbage prequel ships will make X-Wing less fun for me.

I'm sure there are a lot of players in the community who feel the same way, and you look childish criticizing them for it.

Not even gonna read this. You ruin Star Wars, not FFG.

Perhaps a change of perspective :)

If you hate certain ships so much you should *want* to play against them. Relish blowing them up and watching as your opponent removes them from the playing field.

Do you ever consider other people, for whom adding prequel ships enhances their playing experience?

Because it sounds like you're saying that what makes the game more enjoyable for you is somehow more important than what makes the game more fun for anyone else.

My post was pretty clear, not sure how you got confused. I said he looks childish for criticizing people who think prequel ships suck. This flip side is that I don't get upset and criticize people who like the prequels and their ships.

A reasonable person understands both sides, and doesn't make poop-threads like this that are intentionally divisive and incredible insipid

Obviously, though, I do feel bad for those unfortunate people with bad eyesight and learning disabilities that like the prequel ships. But I won't begrudge them their ships. But if collective negative feedback keeps them out of the game, then it's a net win for me, sure.

Welcome to the internet, brace yourself.

Games Workshop rebooted Warhammer.

Age of Sigmar was announced and one "fan" burnt his collection.

Yet Games Workshop gets less hate from its fans than Star Wars. That ain't right!

Maybe we're just tired of hating them, you know, hating someone for them being themselves, an exemplar of arsehole...

It's strenous! Hating 24\7!

TLDR: Stop not liking what I like!
