Tourney Changes on 7/12

By Hawktel, in Star Wars: Armada

So one that I noticed was:

Taking Notes and Outside Material Players cannot take notes or reference outside material or information during a tournament round. However, players may reference official rule documents or game components that do not contain hidden information at any time or ask a judge for clarification from official rule documents. Official rule documents include all rules documents available on the Star Wars: Armada page of our website, those found in a Star Wars: Armada product, or any portion thereof.

I commonly used my Builder app to check cards without disturbing my opponent. I guess that is a No No now as its not an official FFG product.

FFG stop messing around and build a Squadron Builder please.

All the builder does is present "official rule documents as found in a Star Wars: Armada product".

So its not illegal.

What is illegal is reading strategy guides during the tourney.

My aggravation with this is due to Director Isard (not that I've found her all that useful). I'm halfway demented. If I didn't write down (take notes) what I learned from her I would forget it in 5 seconds flat.

With X-Wing: it's been previously ruled that a collected print-out of the maneuver dials is OK.

I think if you're reading card text, you're OK as long as there's no additional information. (at least as a TO I would allow it)
