Pilots who deserve a Crew card

By Funkleton, in X-Wing

Soontir Fel 1 pt.

If you would ever receive more than one stress token you may remove stress tokens until you only have one.

Someone JAM the ship with Soontir on board.

The game just stalled forever. Lol

Soontir Fel 1 pt.

If you would ever receive more than one stress token you may remove stress tokens until you only have one.

"At any point you may choose to remove stress tokens until you have only one remaining."

Or "When you execute a white manoeuvre you may remove a stress token. When you execute a green manoeuvre you may remove two stress tokens."

Etahn

"When an enemy ship inside your firing arc is attacking a friendly ship, you may change one crit result to a hit result."

Anti crit ability, great crew for VCX and non chewie falcon.

Obi Wan

When defending, during the Modify Attackers Dice, you may discard this card to cancel all of the attackers dice.

Old Ben Kenobi

You may receive one stress token to remove one red target lock or tractor beam token from your ship.

Obi Wan Kenobi should be a dual card.

Side A: you must start the game with this side face up.

You may flip this card face down to discard a stress, ion, or tractor token you have just received.

Side B:

FORCE GHOST Obi Wan Kenobi: once per round a friendly ship may modify all [eye] results to hit or evade results on a single die roll.

Wedge.

As awesome as that would be, it would be extremely anti-fluffy. The Rebellion would never waste Wedge's skills by not having him in the cockpit.

Maybe the cockpit of another ship, perhaps. . .

With tail gunner

The Inquisitor is now a half health bwing!

Maarek Stele (Crew)

Cost: 2pts

Once per round when a ship, friend or foe, is given a face-up card you may discard that card without resolving its effect and draw another one instead.

Basically crew card with the intention of fishing for nasty crits on foes or dodging nasty crits on allies. If your enemy draws a card that means nothing, make them redraw. If you draw a nasty one, get rid of it.

The never-ending choice of do i use it defensive or offensive keeps him cheap. As with Palp, if you mod it early you might hate yourself later. Also has a huge RNG element since you could draw worse or your opponent could draw just as good or better.

THE GREEN KNIGHT...

:)

Oicunn! Ram ALL the things!

The Empire need a crew that manipulate the skill of the host pilot. That would free the Phantom aces to use other EPTs.

Full forward deflectors. Ramming speed, on my mark...

Someone (not me) suggested long ago that crew cards for Captain Yorr and Colonel Jendon would be cool. Good way of adding some cool synergies like they did with Jan and Kyle.

Good point.

Considering that 2 out of the 3 HWK pilots all got a Crew card in later waves, it's a little odd that FFG didn't follow suit for the Lambda pilots

I would imagine this is because, until the Decimator, the Lambda was really the only viable Imperial crew carrier, whereas the Rebels had HWKs, Falcons, B-Wings, etc.

We also haven't received any new standard format Imperial ships with a built-in crew slot since the Decimator, creating fewer opportunities to introduce new Crew options. Hopefully that'll change later!

Agreed on Blount & Cracken.

I'd definitely make it a "when you perform a green manoeuvre" - that synergises Cracken, Nien Numb and Lando - i.e. the archetypical crew at endor.

Lando helps other ships, Cracken should help the ship he's on (free actions for his own ship is a nice 'reverse ability'). "after you perform a green manoeuvre, perform a free action from your action bar" might be nice - expensive, but nice.

Reversing blount...... I guess the obvious way to reverse his ability is to prevent the ship he's on from being 'hit' even if you take damage - which needs to be thought out carefully in terms of wording! But giving protection from ion weapons and tractor beams is a nice trick, as is preventing assault missiles "splashing" - good, because friends need to lurk near lando do benefit from his ability. Equally, it theoretically makes a stealth device a permenant +1 agility.

It's Wedge who won't stop jumping into snubfighters. Even when he's 100 years old xD

Command would WANT him in control, but he's as stubborn as an аss standing in the middle of the street

I just finished redoing the main T-65 guys too... most of 'em are done anyhow.

Dat Wedge!

If you look up the Wedge X-Wing images you will see that basically the Escourt Fighter that came with the Rebel Transport IS Wedge's X-Wing.
