Academy Pilot

I had 12 points left over so I used the Academy as a necessary blocker. I feel I need to be able to get rid of large base ships and have Vessery to follow up and hopefully be able to go against aces. I have an alternate list with two defenders and one bomber. Please chip away at this list and give me some CONSTRUCTIVE ADVISE. Thanks!

The Gamma Squad Vet is very easy to take out so I would suggest making him a one hit wonder.

IE GSV (19) + Crack Shot (1) + Long Range Scanners + Homing Missiles (5) = 25 Points

This is a single hard hitting shot that all Aces will steer clear of.

So 2 of the above Vessery and then add something that you think will work with it.
