After my b-day extravaganza, and after recuperating from 12 hours of play, I decided I had to have me more of the old app play.
We had played through the Goblin intro, and decided to dive right into Kindred Fire, hardest difficulty level, etc.
Right near the end of the first quest, staring at a Moral of a Skull, we ended up having one of our heroes KO'd on a max offensive roll vs a min defensive roll.
So, we expected it to tell us we had lost (which it did), but then something odd happened ...
It just said that we fled the area, and we were back to the overland map, with the gold that we had accumulated so far, and with 1 XP.
I guess I had assumed that this game played like the Co-Ops. If you lost, you actually LOST, and had to begin all over again. In fact, that is the gist that I had taken from reading some of the other Kindred Fire threads.
Obviously, this is not the case. So my question is as follows: at what point do you actually lose, and the game ends? Is there ever such a point? Does it only happen if you get KO'd at a Moral level of a Skull in the very final quest?
Appreciate some feedback here. Thanks.
