Has anyone heard any more info on it since it is this week.
Coruscant Invitational
What do you want to know?
I'm playing in it. I've attempted to find out if it's going to be streamed, but it doesn't sound good. It's most likely that there will be a small section of the final on the official ffg stream, but otherwise there doesn't seem to be any plans to do so, which is a real shame.
I was wondering if it was going to be streamed or not? Shame if not. There was a gentleman from Spain that streamed several events in Europe and did a great job.

Simon, yeah. his streams are amazing, with full overlay and great commentary. i asked him yesterday when myself and the Nordic Open champ did an interview with him, and he told me the above info. i hope hes wrong.
It would be really disappointing if it's not streamed. I was looking forward to watching it!
With 8 players, is it going to be a round-robin style event, where everyone plays everyone once?
****,I was hoping to put up the stream at the pub where we are hosting a tournament this weekend.
Screw BarCraft we want Pub-Wing.
Edited by TimathiusWouldn't be like FFG to make the most exclusive X-Wing tournament in the world actually a big deal with, like, coverage and **** so people could get excited about their products.

Wasn't it 2x 4 player groups with 3 games. One with every faction and Group winners face off in the Grand Final.
Players need to label their squads A, B and C and use correct list against their opponent
Or something like that.

No stream would be a real shame, we were hoping to watch our friend compete.

Yes, this is it. Two pods of 4. You'll play 3 games in your pod of 4. In each of those games you'll play your A, B, and C list once each in some randomized order. The winner of each pod will play in the finals. In the finals each player gets to pick one of their three lists to play.
I would prefer for it to be streamed. If it's not, I'm hoping that most (all) of it will at least be recorded and then made public. These are going to be very interesting games to see.

event structure is explained in this article from January
Edited by Toqtamishi do know that a couple of my 186th Squadron teammates will be there watching so we will try and give really frequent updates about what's going on.
Isn't firstearth streaming it again like he did with the Spanish and english opens? His YouTube channel has had a bunch of promo videos on it.
firstearth did yesterday a Coruscant Prelude with some of the Open Winners that will play next weekend in Star Wars Celebration:
I'll also be willing to bet a single copy of Lone Wolf that we'll get some sort of corresponding new product announcement this week as part of the celebration. Most likely Scum Epic.
^^ haha, that would be me on the lower right

Sadly for all that can make it to Star Wars Celebration, there will be no stream today from the Coruscant final
And we can't understand why, since there was some interesting options to do it...
This is all kinds of dumb. Whose permission do they need to show a table featuring their own game?
The OP twitter just posted this image:
Just makes me really sad. After all those opens, all those players, this is it. No acknowledgement on the Star Wars website or twitter, there's no live stream. What a massive anticlimax.
Either way, good luck to all those taking part. Have a great day.
I'm attending and live-blogging the tournament here:
