Attack from pit

By Felin, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

Hello all,

Just to checked... since the last FAQ the word 'only' (action) has been removed from the pit paragraph.

My question:

Does this mean that now a figure in the pit can do an attack action (or any action but move) ?

Of course using the LOS limitations: only adjacent enemy figures out of the pit.

By the way... what about enemy figures, in the pit also? adjacent or not (in case the pit is several squares long).

Yes, figures in a pit can do other actions (like attack), but you must keep the LOS in mind, as you mentioned. Remember that reach DOES require LOS, so a figure cannot attack 2 away from (or into) a pit, even with reach- you still have to be adjacent.

Being "mutually in a pit" does not have any special rules associated with it. Even if it is all pit spaces, you still can only attack "adjacent" spaces. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but that's currently the RAW.

Thank you Zaltyre for the confirmation.
