Edit: well not quite. The decription is that with a blue crit you can cancel all attack dice to deal on faceup damage. So you need to roll a blue crit, and you need that blue crit to remain after they use evade or scatter defence tokens.

Attacker rolls dice

Defender declares defence tokens - and immediately resolves evade and scatter tokens.

Attacker declares crit effect - So at this point decide whether you want to use the blue crit effect, or just do regular damage. ]

Defender resolves damage
