Local nicknames for Pilots

By Gajavi, in X-Wing

I have a Syndicate Thug named Yeezus (because he's flying a Y-Wing) and it just kinda became synonymous.

I have called howlrunner "howlie" so many times it has stuck around here. Kenkirk on the decimator is obvious, cap'n kirk. Poe Dameron is "that regening (explative)". Seriously, loved him in the movie but regen was obnoxious for a bit.

Palpatine = gramps or grandpa or palpie

N'dru - Andrew

I personally call Falcon - Farucon, and often yell Farucooon Paunch! when shooting with him.

We all call Palob "Pablo Hidalgo," a nonsensical name that we made up ourselves an no one else has thought of.

I always called him Pablo Gandhi. However I still have some of that nonsensical names WEG sourcebooks on a shelf somewhere.

I started calling Inquisitor just Quiz, then Quizlove as a riff on the musician Questlove. Just becuz.

inquisitor = stinky inky

ghost = ghosteroni

z-95 = z-wing

And then a little trend is growing....

darth vader = diggity viggity

dengar = diggity

dash rengar = dig riggity

soontir fel = shiggity

lambda = lambdiggity

bosk (and bigs) = biggity

wampa = wampiggity

For some reason we call Etahn A'baht Boat Eater.

In my group, whenever someone mentions "Wampa" we all immediately start singing "I'm the Wampa, I'm the snowman..." from Empire Strikes Back on ice.

Corran is usually referred to as Corn Holio

And we call Poe, "Space Fonzy"

Other than that, a lot of the same names I see on here,

The infamous R5-P8 has numerous names, most commonly known as PainBot. But there has been a few other names mentioned: ****bot, ****bot, ***bot, you get the idea...

You mean R8-P3?

Bandit Squadron Pilots are generally referred to as Hero Bandit along with their own chant when they take a clutch shot.

If you are ever around Atlanta and you have a Bandit taking an important shot just yell out, "Hero Bandit" (the same way you would say, "Let's go, Sports team!"

You're welcome.

Started when I had a single Bandit that won a tournament for me, the clutch shot was range three / obstructed on something ridiculous like a cloaked Phantom. The chant fit so well and the shot so awesome, that it just kinda stuck around the area.

Also, it's customary for several people to finish with the *clap, clap, clapclapclap*

Atlanta is fun. Come play games with us.

E'tahn A'bhat...Eatin' A'boat...Boat Eater...I like it!

I call Colonel Vessary either, the Good Colonel, or Vessy Bessy depending on my mood. Blue Ace goes by James, long back story by the person who plays him.

I'm fairly sure I'm not the only one who calls the Hounds Tooth the Giant Stapler....
