Hi everyone,
my brother Dalcor have had birthday in April. We decided we will celebrate this event with in a very special way. Whole our gaming group (Wargaming Against Serious Play - W.A.S.P.) went together and separated to Rebel players and Imperial players. In the end, the birthday man and his wife had the Imperials, while me, my wife and the last of us - Deks (his wife doesn't play X-Wing for some reason).
I will just list the famous names on the lists.

We have deployed our Attack formation to the center of our deployment zone (it consisted of B-Wings, K-Wing and X-wing) along with the Fat formation (both YTs and the Ghost). On the left were the Nimbles (A-wings and E-wing) while on the right were my Delayers (also called Lambs after the battle. Thank you commander... I will talk about this later).
Imperials deployed also in several formations. From our left to right it started with Stealth formation (3 Phantoms), School formation (Academy Pilots, Epsilon Pilot), Teachers (Vader and Redline were quite close to the School formation but operated separately) ending with Raider and Aces (three ace Interceptors and Juno).
We have decided to destroy the small escort ships of the Empire and then will hunt down the Raider with all we have left. It probably wasn't a good idea.
Quite a bad thing I found out after the deployment is that my 100pts of T-70 X-Wings are facing 250pts of Raider and Interceptors and Juno Eclipse. Deks - who we elected as the Rebel commander (because he brought 300pts while me and my wife brought 100pts each) - just given the simplest of orders. "Delay the right flank!" Well I can quite well handle the new X-Wing but this?!
However, I have managed to hold them for some time. Our Fat, Attack and Nimble formations did quite good job in killing the Stealth formation, Punisher and quite quickly even the Schoolboys. However, we have suffered qute big casualties and then Fel, Vader and Carnor joined the frey, we started to lose ships quite quickly. Raider killed off most of my X-Wings quite easily, however I managed to get one Red Squadron Veteran to his back, out of his firing arcs.
After several hours of play, we decided it's time to go to the pub. After quick calculation, the Imperials won. It has been great fun to play!
