It is a pretty decent ship in an universe plagued with idiotic designs.

I actually quite like the look of it. Something I haven't said about a new cinematic ship design since Return of the Jedi.

Doesn't look big enough to carry more than 1 or 2 people.

You can see that at least a half dozen guys fit inside the thing, not counting the cockpit crew.

Yeah liking it more and more.

It looks like an X-Wing mated with a snow speeder.

It's cool, but I can't help but think that the rebels could really use another more nimble fighter instead of more big expensive stuff.

What if for the first time ever, we get a "large ship" tat has a Team on it, representing the troop bay. There could/should be some interesting combos for a regular non-epic ship to have a team slot, right?

By which I mean a welded together mash up of the two ships. Look at the engine pods, clearly from an x-wing or from an x-wing design. The cockpit is all Y-wing/Toscan.

Am I still only one of a few who loves the way the U-Wing looks? Besides, anything that adds more ships to the game is a good thing.

Nup. I think it's great. I said in another thread that to me, it's the UH-1'Huey' of the Star Wars Universe. Beautiful in its utilitarianism.

At least the U-wing looks like it belongs in the Rebellion Era. One of the most jarring things about the prequels was that the supposedly older ships looked much sleeker than the ships in the original trilogy.

Did that site have any new images? I notice that they've been removed from the article.

At any rate, I really hope the U-wing turns out to be modular, with the troop compartment being one of many boxes that can be attached to the bottom. With other options being things like a cargo pod or a bunch of torpedoes and bombs. It could be like the TIE Bomber/TIE Shuttle situation in reverse.
