More U-Wing Info
Am I still only one of a few who loves the way the U-Wing looks? Besides, anything that adds more ships to the game is a good thing.
Doesn't look big enough to carry more than 1 or 2 people.

Pretty sure there's a large cargo hold underneath where the troops deploy, we've seen it in concept art.

Looks like removing the astromech, turret and torpedoes open up a lot of space.
I love the look of the ship, but let's call it what it is. An X-wing/Y-wing ugly.
It will look even more like a y wing once those wings slide out
It'd look great with several blaster holes through it's hull drifting endlessly in the black!
Think there is a pic on one of the Facebook X-wing forums of the full size film set model, which suggests its maybe quite a bit bigger than most fighters...someone who was working on a 3d model based on the info had it 2x the length of a kihraxz, or more...
(EDIT: Per RL's comment below...the pic concerned has people shown...sorry for not making that clear
)
Until I see it on screen, or in an image with some actually people in or around it, I'm not going to bother judging how big or small it is.
If someone can give me a good reason why those prongs exist, it would help me a lot. Either way, it's a rebel ship in the correct era, so it will almost certainly make its way in to the game.

Well. I guess I better weigh in on this.
Looks good, nice artwork. Not sure what it will do in-game (I love how we all talk like it's in Wave 10 or something, as if the idea of the U-Wing not being in the game is unfathomable) but it will up the Reb large ship count and that's a good thing. Large bases seem to be in-vogue right now and seem to be the thing in upcoming waves as well. The way it's described it sounds like a Lambda Shuttle so I imagine it will function quite like one too. Perhaps trading the cannon slot for ordnance and toting a 3 die primary. I think this one will be more crew oriented and will serve better as a carrier of some sort. Perhaps we will finally see some decent Rebel Only Palpatine-esque type crew?
I still want a Canon E-Wing

BOO!!!
I wish they'd have used more angular shaped engines that would flush into the shape of the U-Wing rather than copy-pasting X-Wing engines onto the tips of the wings. I feel like it was a missed opportunity/wasted design.
They are a bit larger than an X-Wing's engines though, and quite possibly older too.
I foresee a "send in the clowns" two ship boxed set.
This and the first order troop carrier.both with a new upgrade slot to hold a bunch of drooling infantry men and their coloring books.
Theres no way that thing has 2 crew slots. I could see 1 since thats a wide cockpit.
The engines make me think this is going to be one of those high speed lover ships with terrible 1speeds if any. Lots of 3/4speed greens, 2fwd green, rest white or red
Doesn't look big enough to carry more than 1 or 2 people.
The Mist Hunter doesn't look big enough to hold 90 survivors from a Rebel transport, 2 medical droids, and 4-LOM and Zuckuss.

By which I mean a welded together mash up of the two ships. Look at the engine pods, clearly from an x-wing or from an x-wing design. The cockpit is all Y-wing/Toscan.

Likely
I love it's look. It fits thematically, it's sleek enough and afterall I do enjoy dropship style ships.
