Na just apply additional range for different heights. With a 3 level height (top, middle, bottom lets say) In order for Ship A at top height to Ship B at bottom height you need to be at range 1 horizontally but acts like a range 3 shot, or Ship A can shoot at Ship C at middle height range 1 would act like a range 2 shot and at range 2 would be a range 3. And vice versa shooting at a lower level to a higher one (because there is no "top or bottom" in space). Some other additions could be to barrel roll and boost where after you perform one of them you can count as a range higher or lower then what you where. While with normal movement after revealing your dial you can decrease the speed of your maneuver by 1 to move to another level. Would need some play testing but doesn't seem to much extra baggage for the game [aside from maybe bump issues but that could stay the same for the heck of it because reasons] (heck it could be done now using pegs for the change of heights 1 peg=bottom 2 pegs=middle 3 pegs=top)

So this actually mirrors how Wings of War AKA Wings of Glory handles bumping.

You can either play with cards or play with models, and if two planes overlap the cards simply overlap, and if you're playing with models you replace them with the cards until they stop overlapping.

It's a brave new world! Measure range from any part of the model and if you have more facial hair than your opponent, you win!

Flew these 8 TIES at a tournament this weekend. With no howlrunner I didn't have to keep them in formation so tried all sorts of different setups.

for fun! I don't have howlrunner so I don't have to keep them in formation. hopefully by going crazy I can confuse my opponent. Good luck trying to predict my movements when there's 8 ships all flying completely different directions!
