I purchased three sets (orange, green and purple) and a couple of the small bases could fit a little better, but the large orange and especially the green base pegs fit horribly. Both of my green ones fall out of the ship when you just tip it over and the base isn't even attached yet!
Really disappointing, and I don't think I will be buying any more.
Not impressed with the colored bases...
Try them on newer ships. The pegs slightly changed in shape in the newer waves.

Rub some duct tape (the sticky side) on the peg-tip to gum it up a little. Let dry. Repeat. My loose pegs are no longer loose.
I drew on my bases with a colored sharpie ages ago. Sure it took a bit of time but it gave me the same effect and cost a LOT less.
Didn't you get the FAQ?
Pegs & Bases were broken and needed a nerf...
So sorry, pay-to-win Orange Peggers. Down wit da meta aceballs!
I bought two bags of the orange and it all fits fine...maybe mileage varies....
They changed manufacturers of pegs and bases. The older ships... maybe up to wave 6 have the same pegs. Its annoying for sure but what can you do. I keep my ships on display so they fit with the pegs they go with. If I move them I will bag them up and indicate which pegs go to newer ships so they fit ok.
My small bases seem to work fine so far, but I havnen't tried them on all my ships. My large bases are a little loose at the junction between the peg and the ship, but I kind of prefer it that way. My original Firespray peg was so tight I could practically hear the plastic *crack!* as I inserted the peg. The new one fits easily. So what if it's loose; at least setup and take-down is easier. And I've become accustomed to moving ships by the base anyway.
So glad I didn't buy any... The ones who did are very disappointed and I could bit help but felt horror at the defender drooping down from horrible pegs.

I've got them and I like them.
And as with anything, you hear more from the complainers than not.
Seconded on loving them. They are not perfect but hardly useless, what about people who use magnets? Becomes a non issue there.
Friend of mine was using one of each color large base for shuttles last night. He found the bases ok but very variable.

Um...no, that's no excuse.
This is a product that FFG is putting out where the ship should be fitting snugly on a peg, and the peg should be fitting snugly on the base. It doesn't matter if they changed manufacturers, or whatever.
The fact is, FFG should know the **** size of what their products require and if the new manufacturer is incapable of doing it, then find one that can. Seriously, the quality control has been lacking lately (*cough* Regionals Cluster Mines *cough*) and it just seems to be getting worse. I don't know why. It just doesn't make sense, especially since we are paying for this stuff.
theyre literally colored bases of what we have. What we already have sucked as it is.
Fully expected the colored bases to have issues out the wazoo. Of the 8 people here that bought them only one isnt complaining about the pegs lol.

Would you prefer they stayed with their old manufacturers alone and we continued to have severe undersupply issues?
the smaller ships have been fine with my blue bases/pegs. but my falcon and outrider like to flop around like fish on a pier.
Um...no, that's no excuse.

Of course not. Nevertheless I have more than a few ships and I only keep enough bases and pegs to play a game. Are you saying without any distinguishing features or notification some bases and pegs will fit and some will not. That doesn't sound quite right. Perhaps it was a mistake?

Wait. Are you suggesting that the Internet boards are mostly full of folks who just want to vent? Since when?

I'm going to make a wild guess and presume, without any analysis or research, that more than 8 people have bought some. Even 8 people out of the WHOLE of the FFG forum.

I am speaking from seeing them and using them. We are playing a league where we trade list for a second game and they did not fit well, the pegs themselves did not connect well and one was seriously drooping and another was at an angle. Maybe different Quality Assurance or other issues. Speaking with another person they had the same problem. Not coming from the complainers on forums...but first hand account. Perhaps some batches are good and others are not?
Been working fine for me. The large bases/pegs still suck, so I've stuck with the epic base/peg for my Lambda.

This is, sadly true, which is why so many people complain about the Decimator or Outrider falling off of their pegs, for instance. Classic ships (pre Wave 5) had slightly smaller pegs, whereas ships after that had slightly larger pegs. This means if you tried to put a newer ship on an older peg, it would sometimes be quite loose. It also meant a newer peg into an older ship could sometimes be incredibly tight. This isn't a problem for people who keep their pegs with the particular ships they came in, but for those who just had a spot in the plano for all of their pegs it has been a real headache.
The issue with the colored bases that has kept me from buying any, aside from not being crazy about their look, is that I was worried they wouldn't uniformly fit both older and new ships, given that peg sizing has been inconsistent.

you seriously think i made that analysis on 8 people? That was a local example ALONE.
The bases are the only thing FFG releases that is consistently abysmal. Since they didnt revamp how they work, i was never expecting these new bases to be good.
My large bases are all magnetized because the pegs constantly fall out on the base (fine on the ship). Works great until the decimator starts doing 360s when im trying to move him lol

Actually yes. I'd much rather have to wait a bit for quality product than get garbage now.
That's disappointing.
I noticed that the Imp Vets pegs were very snug and I assumed FFG had finally heard our complaints.
Seems it isn't the case.
