Clarification regarding Weapons Guidance and focus tokens:

If I happen to have 2 focus tokens, could one use a focus on weapons guidance and then use a focus to turn eyes to hits in the same shot? or is that a no go?

Yes, you should be able to do this. The new FAQ limits the number of times you can spend a focus for the default usage, meaning turning eyes results to hit results, and the scenario mentioned avoid you are only doing that once.

Yes. This is clarified in the new FAQ on page 5:

"Focus, evade, and target lock tokens cannot be spent for their normal effect more than once during the "Modify Attack Dice" and "Modify Defense Dice" steps. For example, a ship cannot spend 2 evade tokens to add 2 evade results. However, a ship can spend more than 1 of each token on different effects, such as spending 1 focus token as the cost for Calculation and another focus token focus token for its inherent effect. "

And Poe can possibly use only 1 token to do both

1st via ability turn an eyeball into a hit

then use the focus on guidance
