We need Shorty TIEs!!! |•| |•| |•|

By patox, in X-Wing

Now, that there's all these ships from the times of the Lothal Rebel cell, the Imperial TIE Fighters that we have from the Battle of Yavin are way too big.

We need some TIEs to match up with the VCX-100, Gozanti, Shadow Caster, TIE Advanced v1 and Fang fighter.

We need short TIEs with their itty bitty wings.

I'm pretty sure those only exist because the characters needed to be able to interact with them, ie, reach the ball cockpit and climb up. On Star Destroyers etc. they are docked from pylons and you climb aboard from a gantry.

Those are just standard ties rebels just messes with dimensions Willy nilly they would add nothing new.

just cartoonish style

Big heads xD

If we got them it would have been with the Gozanti release. This was a SW:Rebels release and gave us alternate art but standard dimension TIEs so i don't see shortys coming!

Art style, same with the Giraffe-class Star Destroyer.

Rogue One's shown us that the AT-ATs aren't art style though: they change appearance as time goes on.

No we need a dislike button.

We don't really need them...

And a dislike button would certainly get overused by many :D just sayin'

Just squint a bit and the TAP is basically already this :P

Very nice repaint/conversion but no. We don't need them.

Hot wheels put out both regular and shortly TIEs, even in the same gift pack!

Anyway, I think of Rebels as existing in a strange pocket universe based on concept art and Kenner toys.

Rogue One walkers are not AT-AT's.

What we need is a rift in the space-time continuum - that occurs immediately following Return of the Jedi as a result of Palpatine's Death. This RIFT, causes the timeline to split into TWO universes. The Prime universe (also known as the Disney-Verse) continues as we now see, but behind the scenes there is a parallel Legends-Verse. The existence of this new Legends verse does two things - 1) It allows for Disney to make movies IN that universe if they ever get the notion someday to have the Winter Soldier to play Luke Skywalker (look it up, he's a perfect match), and it allows for force-based wormholes to occasionally exist so they can pull people into the Disney Verse at will.

When will the purists accept the EU was 95% hot garage and 5% Tie Fighter collector's Cd rom?

With all my joking aside, I do want a new ship from SW:Rebels. The rebels stole a TIE and the Inquisitor's TIE...and don't forget the TIE Bomber and the Imperial Shuttle.

FFG could make some cash too if they released Sabine's Masterpiece Expansion pack or just some way to add a "Stolen TIE" to a Rebel/Scum squad.

I'd be hesitant about flying a ship that looks like Pac Man.

Why not? Pac-Man chases Ghosts, after all!

When it becomes true, which it never will be so around the heat death of the universe.

The Empire has done just fine without peripheral vision, thank you very much, and I don't see what makes practical considerations so appealing anyway.

In the age of faster than light travel and sentient robots it's hard to see why any pilot would rely on physically looking out a window except to park in a hanger. But then SW is WWII dogfights...
