Is the new FAQ a little buff for Miranda? Is seems like what Miranda ought to be able to do now is sacrifice one shield and fire two 4 dice TLT shots. Even with only one mod (assuming you don't have RecSpec), that seems like a juicy option if you ever manage to catch Soontir or any autothruster, palp-backed ace in your arc.
EDIT: I realise that if this applies there is a commensurate nerf for Miranda when regenning shields as well.
Edited by MacchuWAThe new FAQ doesn't affect Miranda's interaction with TLT at all (refer to her FAQ entry). The TLT shots are still two different attacks, and while you can use Miri's ability on either one you only get the buff/penalty for that attack. The other one is unaffected.
Read the card. Specifically the bit that says 'once per round'...
The interesting thing is that most similar cases, where there are double effects, the FAQ locks them tightly into a certain step, look e.g. Latts, Valen, Vader (crew), R3, etc
Whereas Miranda is allowed to choose.
Miranda's locked into a particular step: 2ii. It's just that that step happens twice in a "perform this attack twice" attack, unlike a lot of the other steps in the combat sequence.
