When you use Esege's focus token with Jake it doesn't count as using a focus action?

No, A focus action is not using a focus. Jake needs to either say, "hey Im gonna do this focus action" or someone needs to say, "here have this focus!"

Esege does neither of these two things, he's the dude in the corner going, "yeah whatever, you can use my focus if you want."

Alright thank you guys for letting me know. I think I'll swap out Esege for Kyle Katarn in that case.

Also, Adrenaline Rush is going to be far superior to Cool Hand here (and in most other cases). Jake already has both the Focus and Evade actions as options, plus being stress-free keeps his dial more open (even with the A-Wing's amazing greens).
