What would you run with a Gamma Sq Vet (aka TIE Sniper)?

So the "TIE Sniper" build is as following

Crackshot

EM

Homing Missiles

Chimps/LRS (choose to preferences)

I would like to run 2 of them in a build (for a 54pt total) and am having trouble finding something that compliments them well and can survive till the end game and cause some hurt. I would preferably like to have more than one ship to fly alongside these two. Any advice is greatlyappreciated.

With the two spare points, you can either toss a seismic on one of the bombers, or give both the FO's Mk 2 Engines.

Three extra homing crack seismics fit with an academy blocker

2 Storm Squadron Tie Adv with Accuracy Correctors is 46 points.

Or maybe Omega Leader with Comm Relay + Juke and a Zeta Leader with Adaptability with give you a pair of PS 8 TIE/FOs.

A decimator might squeeze in there too.

I REALLY wish there was points for a Gunner+Vader Deci. That would have been icing on the cake.

That was an idea i had. Only thing i had against it would be once all ordnance and crackshot is used it doesn't have any punch. Granted not much can withstand 5 crackshots and 4 HM shots but i like to keep my bases covered cause i have TERRIBLE luck in this game. Not saying i won't try it. It definitely warrants some testing.

If theres more than 1 ship left after 2 crackshot homers and 3 crackshot ties, your dice hated you lol.

Thats still 4-5 ships (assuming a tie blew up by now) with 2 attacks and a pretty **** good dial. 2die ships are only bad when theyre alone. Often when i run the 8tie swarm i'll split into 2 groups of 4 and flank with 1. The group of 4 usually takes out something pretty **** reliably.

Lost to a emperor and ace build. I believe it has potential. It was my first time trying it so I know I didn't fly it well. Actually I flew it Pretty bad, and because of the Decisions IV made I didn't get to shoot much at all.

With practice I think it can do well

I may try switching out a black for wampa next time and upgrades the Concussion missles to a homing

That was an idea i had. Only thing i had against it would be once all ordnance and crackshot is used it doesn't have any punch.

Once the alpha strike has been delivered, you don't need punch quite so much. Focus or Evade on the Ties and you should be able to win the battle of attrition against what little is left after the ordnance and Crackshots have done their job.

The question I've been asking is are the homing missiles worth it? Concussions with chips hits so hard anyway, especially with crackshot

Good old fashioned Buzzsaw Whisper (VI, FCS, ACD, Gunner) comes in at 44pts, giving you a 2pt initiative bid. Could be enough to counter some Palp Aces.
