Obviously it is not a dedicated list to counter one, but it is a strong list to help counter most lists.
Thoughts?

I love the idea, I just think that the Hawks are just too squishy. Too slow to arc dodge, too light to take any enemy fire. With average roles I see one hawk dying per combat phase.

I did well with a similar list swapping out Dace for another Y-wing TLT. Much more survivable, but the list still had the flaw of being too light.

You can thug-life three Y's and have Palob still, but the list gets very boring to play.

I hope you try this out and report back what your results were. I may try it myself too.

See that's the thing, you don't have to worry too much about arc dodging because of the turrets and the way the squadron flies as a squadron - i.e. together, concentrating fire power on fringe enemies. The Hawks aren't too squishy compared to their normal setup, because the have Predator/TLT saves their 2 green defence/focus dice quite often, and the consistent fire power coming out of the Pred/2xTLTs & Ion is very reasonable for focussing enemies down and controlling them (ion and tac) to not have arc. Played well, this list will be a decent counter against quite a few of the strong meta lists, rather than good against one, terrible against others, as some lists are which can make and break a tournament due to who you are paired up against being a hard counter against the list you took.
