Questions Reguarding Spells

By Drucifer2, in Talisman

1) If the “Siphon Strength” Spell is cast on player A by player B can Player C use Hydra and gain benefit of the “Siphon Strength”?
2) Can Resurrection & Preservation be used on Creatures that are generated by interacting with a space?
3) Psionic Blast, Fireball, Brainwave, and Wand of Dragon Fire, is the craft added your current value or the value printed on your character card?
4) Can Immobility be cast during combat with a creature? Or is it exclusively before a characters move?

#1: Should work.

#2: Depends on the wording on the cards (too lazy to check). If they say "Enemy", then no, Enemies are Adventure cards with said keyword. If they say "Creature", then ok.

#3: I think all those mention "craft value" which is the printed value.

#4: IIRC, Immobility has two options: 1) cast on a char before they move or 2) cast on creature (at any time) to Evade it

P.S. We have a Rules Questions section for these gui%C3%B1o.gif .

Spells and casting issues cleared up.

Weapons.

A: The wording for Immobility is slightly incorrect. If the Spell is cast on a character, you must cast it on the character at the start of his turn, before he moves. Immobility may be cast on a creature in the "Evade" step during battle (see "Resolving Battles vs. Creatures" on page 10 of the base game's rulebook).

Thanks again to John Goodenough and the Talisman Team.

This has been clarified a long time ago, as it was one of the very first questions after Talisman release by FFG.

The lack of this answer is a big hole in the current FAQ.

"Please refer to the diagram called "Creatures and Enemies" on page 10 of the base game's rulebook."

Whew, thank you! I had to bring up this rule recently has my winning scenario was hinging on someone casting a Preservation/Reserrection on a creature I was fighting and had to remind them of the rule that I was not fighting a card and therefore did not have the Enemy keyword. But I could not remember where I read this rule before, in case the other player called me on it. Fortunately they did not, but I still like to be prepared for next time.
