Tie Shuttle. A nice control piece.

TIE Bomber: Scimitar Squadron Pilot (16)

TIE Shuttle (0)

Intelligence Agent (1)

· Rebel Captive (3)

Rebel Captive seems to be a bit of a waste here. I don't see this guy being targeted over anything else in your squad. I think you'd be better off going all in on being a blocker and spend those points on Navigator.

Mara Jade can provide stress to all enemies at range one. Great if you block or not. Same cost as RebCap.

really doubt crackshot tomax will be a thing unless hes running ordnance. Hes really expensive for a 2die attack, even if it effectively reduces agi by 1, and hes not that hard to remove if he isnt abusing Cool Hand for evade tokens.

24 pts without anything else isn't that much. 15 pts for a one shot Crack Shot is considered worth it. Why not 9 more pts to have a ship that has more hull and can do it every turn? Can also throw on someone like Rebel Captive to ensure that he doesn't get shot at too much. That's a ship that will last a while in a game. The longer he lasts, the more his ability is worth it.

3 more hull for one less agility, a worse dial, and no evade action is pretty much a dead even trade. Getting the PS8 is nice, getting Crack Shot every round is excellent, but overall, I'd usually rather have a black crack and an academy Pilot for the sort of points I'd be pumping into a non-ordnance Tomax. Even an ordnance Tomax is often approaching a little too expensive to be worth it.

While I agree the Tie Bomber dial is worse, I don't think it's that bad. There are some good things you get for giving up the non-red 2 turn. You get a 5 K-turn, which is fantastic. You also get a 1 green forward, which the Tie Fighter doesn't get. I'll give you that there are more greens on a Tie Fighter, but overall movement isn't bad. I know a lot of people tend to bag the Tie Bomber dial, but it's really not so bad.

Still, variety is the spice of life. Maybe we will see some in the top tables then?

I didn't say it was bad, I said it was worse than the TIE. NOt really the same thing at all.

It's a solid dial, and I think we will start seeing both ordnance and shuttle bombers at the top table.

I very much doubt we'll see Tomax as the latter at top tables though. I'm slightly dubious as to whether w'll see Tomax at all. He's got a mean pilot ability and he's fragile, expensive and not very agile or able to arc dodge well, so he'll get murdered by focus fire.
