It would not surprise me if an endor expansion comes next. Followed by separate ally and villain packs that have Yoda in it so it is not tied to the expansion. Then I'm thinking a Rebels expansion to follow because of the Grand Inquisitor that has just been released.
I'm thinking rebels will be sooner rather than later, the obi wan preview hinted at Jedi being a control sub-faction of the rebels. That's why I think Ezra, kanan and asoka won't be far behind.
Rebels or Rogue One expansion.
I think it could be Rebels focused... something on Lothal perhaps. Kaynan, Ezra, Seb, Sabine, maybe even Ahsoka.
I think this is the most likely. It gives them the most flexibility and freedom without locking them down to existing movie timelines.
Mercs could see some Manalorian troops, maybe Asajj Ventress as a bounty hunter (which would be bloody awesome), Empire could get lots of different troopers (for example snipers) or some generic inquisitors and Agent Kallus.
It could be Endor, that seems to be the common guess.
I don't think there's much room in IA for ewoks. We already have free junk droid units and 2 point officers/smugglers. I can't think of an elegant way to fit in ewoks.
3 unit card with 3 x 2 health ewoks? Maybe? Single dice attack?
I dunno I guess it could work.
Apart from scout speeder bikes and ewoks, Endor doesn't really add anything new either. You could redo all the old characters like Han and Chewie but I don't think that would be a good expansion box.
Another option is Tattooine/Jabba's palace and/or barge.
You'll be able to expand on Mercs some more, they still seem to be the red headed step child of the competitive scene for some reason.
You could include the Rancor. It would be a convinet time to add more bounty hunters like 4LOM and Zuckuss even though they're not actually there during the movie.
You could further expand on the Tuskens (for example tuskens with long rifles).
Not to sure what you'd do for the Rebels though.
Given what they did with Obi-Wan and the other two, we will definitely see a Yoda at some point not tied to any timeline. Yoda showing up to fight Vader, how interesting would that be.
But I think Jaba's place will come before Endor.
Edited by FrogTriggerIt makes sense that endor could be next. First was core set and twin shadows aka a new hope, then return to hoth plus bespin gambit aka empire strikes back, so the logical conclusion would be an endor expansion plus one other one aka return of the jedi. That's just my take on the next two expansions for IA. I see rebels coming after that.
I think it will be ROTJ/Endor.
Ewok Warriors, Scout troopers, Rebel Commandos, Emperor Palpatine, Rancor, Gamorrean Guards, General Ackbar, Yoda. Will it definitly be a large box? Does ROTJ need a big box. I don't think so. Many of the tiles can come from core set and Twin Shadows. Perhaps they throw in some Dagobah, Endor, Taatoine/Jabba palace. That could be done similar to Bespin.
I hope they fill up with SW original before adding anything from the 1 - 3 movies.
As individual packs, maybe we will get more character from: Star Wars Rebels, an older chpt. 4 character (Jawa?), merc. 4 Lom. They just previewed (Greedo, Obi Wan and Grand Inquisitor) with the latest offering, so maybe they'll keep that coming...? It works for me.

General Ackbar? 1. He was an Admiral 2. He did zero fighting
Yoda? He died of old age in the movie... you really think he can fight?
Emperor Palpatine? Are you kidding me?!
There will be no episodes 1-3 in IA... its been said over and over again.
I strongly believe, that Endor will not be the next expansion.
Until now, they've stepped through the locations in the exact order of the OT.
There could be a Dagobah expansion coming. But I doubt that. I just would love to see Yoda.
I think, it will be a Jabba's Palace / sail barge expansion and Endor afterwards. I just think, that Endor should be a big box, therefore, there has to be something inbetween.
Core box - Tatooine / Massassi Ruin's / ... - episode 4
Small box - Tatooine - more episode 4
Big box - Hoth - start of episode 5
Small box - Bespin - end of episode 5
Big box - Rebels?
Small box - Jabba's Palace? - start of episode 6
Big box - Endor

Big box - Jabba's Palace? - start of episode 6
Small box - Dagobah? - middle of episode 6
Big box - Endor - end of episode 6
New core box - Rebels / New core box - Clone Assault - Prequel Trilogy?
Edited by DerBaerMost here think the next two big boxes will be Lothal and Endor. And the next small box will be Jabba's Palace. My question is what will be next? I believe we will get Battle of Jakku (either big or small) and I hope for Sullust (small).

Ventress dies before The Clone Wars even ends. No way she's making it into IA.
I think a Rebels focused thing seems likely enough.
We've got The Grand Quizzy, Sabine appears in the art for Prey on the Weak, and Lando's skirmish mission mentions Lothal, which if anything is simply evidence that they're interested in exploring Rebels in this game to some degree.
They'll undoubtedly get to Endor eventually. 100%. But I think the next wave of stuff will be focused in the years before A New Hope since our focus will be there as Rebels season 3 looms on the horizon and Rogue One coming up.
If we get an Ahsoka and a Chopper figure I'll be so happy.
For me, I would like to have Jabba's Palace and Endor in the same Big Box set. Map tiles have 2 sides. Then Vader, Palp, Jedi Luke on the Death Star for the showdown for the small box expansion following on from that.
Jabba' Palace would offer such a fantastic location for battles and would introduce so many amazing units to play. It has to be the primary location for the next act. Hoping.

These characters are very popular and I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see some of them.
Why not Ackbar, the empire has officers and generals in the game.
If they don't make Yoda and Palpatine in this story line, then we'll not see them at all if they skip movies 1 - 3.
FFG can't pass up on cashing in on those characters.
It feels like the boxes are moving away from the strict time line, so anything is possible. That explains getting Obi Wan and Greedo so late.
The best way for them to make money and generate interest in the game is to have a Rogue One box on the shelves this year.
The Rebels need a model that isn't small, they have none.
I want a dewback with a trooper.
They've made it clear that $$$ trumps timeline so we will 100% see Yoda. He will be a huuuuuuge cash cow. Everyone will buy that figure and it will help even draw people into the game. Not making Yoda available would be like refusing to print Jordan on a Bulls jersey. There are just certain names people want and Mickey loves his cash.

I guess you could frame it that way, but I think you're glossing over the fact that in this case "$$$" is just a synonym for "what people want to play with".
I get the money argument for things like printed maps - maybe I don't have any use for a stormtrooper pack, but now I have to buy it if I want to play in tournaments. I can absolutely see the logic behind calling something like that a cash grab.
But in this case, the only reason they would make any extra money from releasing Yoda or Obi-wan or Greedo is if there are a lot of people out there who want to play with Yoda or Obi-Wan or Greedo. So I see this less as "Micky loves his cash" and more as "game designers are finding a way to add in the characters that more people want to play". Sounds good to me!
Now obviously if they don't make money then we wouldn't have a game, so that's got to be a goal, but I think looking at this as greed on the part of FFG/Lucasfilm/Disney is pretty cynical.
I see what you are trying to say and the two are so closely linked it can be hard to tell the difference. But if you think for a second that any of this isn't first and foremost about money then you are in denial
Santa doesn't work for FFG with his merry elves spreading cheer through out the world for all to enjoy. This is a business, they are out to make money. Their avenue here is to exploit our love of Star Wars and it's characters (aka our addiction). They do this by providing us a quality product we can play with and enjoy. And they do it quite well, but we are still paying for that enjoyment.
Now that it's been revealed that the Wave 7 "Reinforcement" packs are not tied to a specific timeline, I really want to see a Jabba's Palace big box.
My dream would be a stand-alone campaign that starts on Tattooine and spans other systems including Courscant. Give me a Shadows of the Empire themed campaign that ends right before the opening events of ROTJ and I'll be as giddy as a little school girl.
Gammorian Guards
Weequay lackeys
Sandtroopers
Sandtrooper on Dewback
4-LOM and Zuckass
"Emperor's Hand"
Jabba (I want a cheap Gideon-esque figure that enhances/commands my Mercs!)
Rancor
I agree that Jabba's Palace will be the next expansion. Gammorians and weequays. Also you could use maps with jabbas sailbarge and the other skiffs with the sarlacc as its own map piece. The rancor, a jedi robed luke would be nice. Slave Leia would be cool also.
Shadows of the Empire: big box
Jabba's Palace/Hutt Cartel: small box
Endor: big box
Or they go Rebels/Rogue one sets...
~D
Please no ewoks.
I don't think there is a place for speeder bikes in the game right now either
I do think gamorean brutes have a royal guard like brawler place. Slower, harder hitting, good health with cleave, mix between wookies and royal guard.
4-lom and zuckuss support characters are needed.
My bets are on Rebels related stuff though. Tv characters, with flame troopers, whatever bounty hunter dudes they have in the show ( only seen 3-4 episodes). There could be some Rogue One and Rebels crossover.
I see no redeeming value in having emperor or yoda, just like playing Vader doesn't happen all that often, their point cost should be equivalent
Edited by buckero0I think it will be on Endor or Yavin. It would be pretty cool if it was Dantooine. Any way it comes, I just hope it includes Scout Troopers and/or regular Imperial Army troops, plus Rebel Commandos.
What I would really like to see is a box set that has Endor and Death Star map tiles, with missions at both locations. The Death Star tiles could also be used to represent Imperial fortifications on Endor as well. Would be a good way to introduce Scout Troopers and Commandos.
I will settle for regular Imperial Troops as a 3 figure pack expansion on their own.
Edit: Oh. And Ewoks!Including an Ewok player character.
Jk.
Or am I?
I don't know.
Maybe?
Whatever.
Edited by ShadoJabba's Palace Big Box would work better as a full campaign I think...
Then an Endor Small Box would be a mini campaign, with possible infiltration on the Death Star 2, as well as a climax finale somewhere on Endor.
I figure there is so little time available around the end of RotJ, that a full campaign with side missions wouldn't be feasible...
I have no idea.
I was sold completely on the idea that the next box would be Rebels/Rogue One because of the release of three dead guys, but apparently timelines only matter sometimes now.
