Movement with an Ion token

Can a ship with an Ion token do a boost move after the compulsory 1 straight ahead?.

As long as it is not stressed and did not overlap a ship or asteroid, yes.

Nothing on the card says otherwise. Do what the card says. Don't do what it doesn't say. It doesn't say you can't take an action, or any limit the actions you take in any way, so you can do any action you want as long as you could normally after that 1 straight.

Being Ionized means you do NOT "reveal your maneuver dial" so things that trigger from that are denied. It then has you perform a straight 1 white maneuver. After that you're free to act however you'd like including taking your Perform Action step and later making an attack against someone you can target.

Unless Stressed a ship could Boost and Barrel Roll during the Perform action step. You could even perform a SLAM action although it needs to be a speed 1 maneuver.
