I know that recent waves have had pegs that fit differently than the older pegs, and the colored peg/base packs fit slightly differently as well, but I just encountered something else that I was wondering about:
I just opened my Imperial Veterans pack and upon removing the dials and plastic connectors, began assembling them for use tomorrow night. I did what I always do and pushed the female connector through the hole on the dial front piece to widen it, then removed it and placed it behind the rear dial piece, placed the front dial piece over it, and inserted the male plastic connector. I noticed that the female connector required a lot less force to get through the dial holes and the connector pieces were not as tight as normal when connected.
The dial isn't extremely loose and the result I choose does not change on its own after moving it, but it feels like the connectors can be easily separated now, as opposed to the very tight connection that I am used to. They can be removed far easier than before.
Did FFG modify the plastic connectors in a way that makes dials easier to seperate (which would make swapping to their plastic dials a lot easier)? Or did I just receive some wonky connectors that were slightly different than the norm? There are no issues with my dials that I am complaining about, I just noticed they fit differently and assumed it was intentional and meant for people to take apart dials if they wanted to swap to the plastic ones.
