Fleet created with Armada Warlords

Basic idea was to control deployment with the Interdictor, then use it as a token stripper. Warlord gets some good shots off due to hopefully sub-optimal deployment by my opponent, the GSD works on taking out high value targets by slipping through debris fields with the help of chart officer and med teams. The Raider is anti-squad, with a little bite just in case any ships come too close. The Aren-net Gozanti is there to toss around tokens in times of need.

What does Aresko offer to a comms net Gozanti exactly?

He allows the Gozanti to throw emergency tokens across the board. Let me set this up. Say, the Vic activates first in my list, and gets totally wrecked on my opponents activation. The Raider and Int will both be pulling eng commands near this time, so Aresko can pull an eng token from them and toss it to the Vic. If the Vic survives the round, it gets an eng token, with possibly another token coming later. Janky as hell, yes. Do I foresee a need for it? Probably. Will it work as intended? Probably not, but it's fun either way.

Personally, I only see him being used maybe once every two games or so. He's more as insurance than true token manipulation like Tantilles is.

But why cant the Gozanti just get a token from its own engineering dial?

What if I didn't have engineering set when the Vic just barely lived after a Madine powered Mon Karren just pulled a near 180 to blast the Vic? Like I said before, it is a fringe case event, but I've lost a lot of games due to "fringe cases". Also hence med teams on the GSD to prevent mean crew-crits.

So you are telling me, you are more likely to have eng on a raider than a gozanti?

A Raider that is in the middle of a squadron ball? Probably. An Int with 5 eng? Probably. A comms net gozanti? Probably a cf or a Nav.

It's not a terrible idea. It's Raymus, only he can take from other ships instead of his own, giving you a little bit different kind of flexibility over Raymus; then Comms Net lets you pass off the emergency token wherever you actually need it. Better in some respects than the Tantive battery with eng or squadrons that people have been using forever--this way you can suck that squadron token off of something that's actually using it while the Gozanti is able to queue up a squadron or nav and keep contributing itself.

Not sure it's worth the cost or the long combo chain it needs, but it's at least worth trying out, I think.
