Nope. Gotta buy the box to get 2nd set of cards.

Mind you, it might be nice if there was such an option for the second boxed release.

You could purchase basic set cards if you had a friend with a copy and they had cards they didn't need.

An eBay search also shows some sellers who have split the core set down into the faction-specific card sets and have those for sale individually, and one or two of the American card singles sites might sell them as singles (but I think it's unlikely). Apart from that, the only way to get extra cards from the core set is to buy another unless you can find a way to acquire the cards from your friends / other people in your playgroup.

If there is no use for extra capital boards, resource, and damage tokens then they should sell the cards as seperate packs. This would eliminate waste.

Just see if you can find others to split a second one with. I have one and my friend has one but I want to get a second one and just go splits on it.

I only have 1 copy, and it works pretty OK. A buddy bought 2 core sets and gave me the 3rd version of the duplicates, so that really helps. I miss out on some of the stronger 1 copy only cards, and would like to get those. I saw singles listed on Ebay, and the faction sets as well. I don't even use most of dwarf stuff, so it would be nice to trade it away, but LCG format doesn't really promote trading. Cool game though.

We ran a sealed tournament around here that let players pick one faction and only buy that. We split up the damage and resource tokens that come in the box. If you have a decent game shop or game shop employee, this shouldn't cost much at all. We did 10$ per player. The neutral cards, high elf and dark elf cards were split at random.
