Flight Commander + Fighter Coordination Team timing

By Artifixprime, in Star Wars: Armada Rules Questions

The wording for both Flight Commander and Fighter Coordination Team indicates that the effect happens "after you execute a maneuver"

Since they both trigger at the same time, am I correct in thinking that the controlling player gets to choose the order they happen in?

Yes you can abuse it to FCT Mauler Mithel into a bunch of squadrons. Then (using intel) you squadron move him again to get another point of damage spread around all enemies.

Does Intel work here though? It gives squadrons as distance 1 "Heavy" - don't think that stops you being "Engaged".

To my reading Intel would allow you to move either ordinarily or with a squadron order, but Fighter Coordination Team requires you to be unengaged and so my not work in the same way with Intel.

You're right: Intel doesn't work here. Intel = heavy. FCT requires unengaged.

But FCT --> Mauler damage (if Mauler starts unengaged) is OK

Then do Intel/Corrupter/whatever attack for more Mitel (and shooting)

You could even do another FCT later in the round if Mithel becomes unengaged.

Fighter Coordination team Mithel into engagement.

1 auto damage

Then use fightercommand to activate squads, including mauler, using intel, chiraneu etc to allow him to move

Second auto damage
