Hello,

with the release of the Imperial Veterans i'd like to dust off my defenders, so i'm building some lists including them. I've seen the triple defender lists, but i'm not into that (yet).

However, here's the list i'm tinkering now:

Countess Ryad (36)
TIE Defender (34), Push the Limit (3), TIE/x7 (-2), Twin Ion Engine Mk. II (1)

Commander Kenkirk (63)
VT-49 Decimator (44), Push the Limit (3), Ion Bombs (2), Ysanne Isard (4), Rebel Captive (3), Darth Vader (3), Engine Upgrade (4)

The Defender is tough as nails like this (evade via title, focus, tl via PTL), can u-turn insanely so hopefully the Decimator gains the focus. The plan is to burn the Decimator to the "sweet spot" via Vader where she has 1 damage card, so she can have an evade action (Ysanne) at the start of the combat phase, triggering PTL, generating another action like Focus, TL or Boost. I really like the Combat Phase-"arc-dodger" Decimator

However my only doubts are Vader, Rebel Captive and the Ion Bomb... Should i bring Palpatine instead of those?

What's your opinion?

Ps.: I know this list is not U-boat proof.

You could loose RC and the bombs and replace with Gunner. Re-roll misses, which is excellent when your only firing with two ships max each turn, and if you whiff the first shot you can Vader, shoot again and then Vader. Take two crits to the face Baron!

Is it really worth taking that kind of damage by double Vader-ing? Heck, why should the bad guys even bother shooting at you when you seem to be willing to do it to yourself.

Maybe this:

Chiraneau (Predator, Gunner, Ysanne, Jerjerrod, Engine Upgrade)

Your right Dan, dealing yourself 4 damage a turn will soon start to suck pretty hard. I guess it's the fact that you can choose when to Vader, I reckon I'd take the hurt if it crippled or removed a killer like Soontir. Maybe not a generic Z95 though...

And you don't have to Vader every time you trigger Gunner.

Taking Kent Kenkirk without Palpatine honestly feels like a waste of time to me.
