Hey guys!
So I am building my second ever PC after GMing this system for years. No one in my groups have ever played a droid and I wanted to play what i feel is the ultimate idea of a droid, an astromech.
R2-T3 "Rusty"
One area that has me wondering is integrated components, what is and what is accepted and figured I would appreciate some guidance from like minded GMs and players.
I have listened to The Order 66 Podcast Episode 53 "Do Droids Dream of Electric Meatbags" and they reccomend:
- No weapons over encumbrance 1 should be integrated.
- Some gear items over 1 can be integrated if it makes sense thematically, ala a toolkit (encumbrance 4, but astromech soo...)
- 6 maximum integrated items.
- Cybernetics do not count towards integrated items.
There are a few things introduced since this that I'd love to have in my astromech character as an integrated component, but not sure if it should be allowed:
Multi-Goo Gun - R2 was shown to have a lubricant spray in Ep 3, and although it is encumbrance 2, I think it can be integrated into an astromech PC. Thoughts?
Mechanic's Utility Suit - I was looking at getting a tool kit and some armor to bump my soak a bit higher since my intention is to be a non combatant in most scenarios and as such i need a little more protection. Would armor count towards the integrated items? I have paid extra to get an item that is TREATED as a tool kit and not a tool kit itself. The suit I think represents a reinforced astromech shell or interior bracing with the natural integrated tool components than an astromech has. I would appreciate peoples thoughts on this.
