Let's assume a blinded pilot crit (from TFA set) was assigned to a ship equipped with a feedback array. According to the FAQ FA can be used in such a situation because it is not an attack and is used instead of attacking. My question is whether or not the blinded pilot card gets flipped on the round you use FA. In theory the card says that it is flipped after the next opportunity to perform an attack (whether or not you had a target). My understanding is that I do get an opportunity to attack, I just choose to do something else instead, so the card still gets flipped right?

Exactly. Unlike the old card where you were blinded (or more likely got a jammed blaster) and required ana ttack where you wouldn't roll any dice (but sill consider it an attack. looking at Blout shooting at RebCaptive)
New card gets flipped the next time you get an opportunity to attack (like Dengar's or C.Horn's abilities)

You don't need FA. The TFA Blinded Pilot crit will clear even if you don't have any valid targets for an attack.
