I don't think I'd give them anything for Negotiation. These guys are good with numbers, not necessarily with cutting deals (of any type). Knowledge (Education) is a fine choice for that free rank, and it goes fine with a high Intellect. They don't really need much beyond that--not every Species is all that exceptional, but if you need to balance them consider an extra point or two of Strain Threshold and be done with it.
