Show Your Cloaking Device With LED a Light Up Base

I have started making LED light up bases for my ships. The first one was for my Tie Phantom. When I place the cloak token on the base it lights up. (I used a magnetic reed switch).

My brother saw that and wanted a LED base to show when his Corran Horn can't fire. I decided to create a how to video.

Enjoy! (It's not that hard of a mod).

Amazing!

That's so cool!

I think this is awesome! If you had a etsy shop and sold these you would make bank!

I don't know which is more impressive, the mod itself or how amazing the how-to video was. You have a knack for both. :)

It is so great to see a how-to video that knows when to fast-forward, and is honest about what the difficult parts of the process are going to be.

Just wanted to echo (see what I did there) the sentiments in the thread.

The base looks awesome and your video is super easy to follow.

Here's my Phantom following your build, I found even smaller reed switches so didn't even have to cut the hollow for the switch.

Can you tell me where you got the LED strip lights from? How about the reed switch and what sizes. Usually LED's require a resistor or they burn up fast. You seemed to blew past that issue. How? Thanks and really great video tutorial.

Edit: Whoops! Did not mean to respond to this....
