Actually, the Phantom/Defender hybrid could work for a shuttle-ish type ship. Take off the Defender's ball cockpit, make a fuselage connector between the two chassis (just long enough so that both sets of solar panels don't interpenetrate), and maybe put in a larger engine. It could be a high-speed, cloaked shuttle for high-ranking Imperial Navy members.
