I've searched, I've reread SM but I still don't see anything about crafting attachments. Am I missing something?

Two things I'd like to craft.

1. Holster - I've found one in a "unofficial" sourcebook and the perks were nice, plus it makes sense logically to holster a weapon while strolling thru town. I figure this may fall under the "crafting gear section".

2. A Silencer for a Slugthrower. Haven't found one in any book, possibly the Spy supplement will have one. But in the meantime, do you think this is a craftable item?

I'd allow a crafted silencer for sure.

The gadget crafting in Special Modifications would cover it. You could just flip the templates a bit and have it impose some Setbacks on checks for Perception to hear it being fired or add a Failure, or whatever.

Slugthrower suppressor is in Savage Spirits, it's Restricted, but otherwise super cheap and easy to get.

There are “Blaster Suppressors” and “Blaster Energy Dampeners” in the game, according to the list at http://swrpg.viluppo.net/equipment/attachments/

Maybe a noise suppressor for a slugthrower would be similar?
