They work with the old ships just fine!

And they fit the new ships, too. Here's the interesting part: so do the bases from Imperial Veterans! Seems like they fixed the tolerance of the newly manufactured pegs so they are compatible with all ships, old and new. Could this be the cause of the Imperial Veterans delay?

Makes them even more than just another colour.. no more need to find the right pegs for the right ships with those then

edit: i actually just went from 0 interest in them to very interested

As my clear plastic ones break down (some are definitely there already..) I'll be replacing them with swanky coloured pegs for sure.

Okay, after some more experimentation, it looks like the colored pegs are a little bit closer to the size of the new pegs. They're tight on the old ships, but they fit far enough to be snug during combat. I'm happy with them. Can anybody else confirm the fit of the colored pegs?

The new small ship bases and pegs seem to be interchangeable between the old bases and the newer post wave 7 bases. However the new colored large pegs I have are not useable, they are much smaller. I haven't tried them with every ship I have but the large base ships I did try the peg was so much smaller that it would just fall out

Around wave 7 a new mold for the bases and pegs were being used. This led to old ships simply not staying on the peg because the new peg was slightly smaller than the receiving hole of the older ships. And vise versa.

Sounds like there might be some variance then. I haven't tested all 70+ ships in my collection but the small colored pegs fit both my Tie FOs and regular old Ties so I'm sure they'll be OK. The large peg is pretty tight on my Lambda but it works.

Bought some of each color and colored card sleeves so no more number tombstones for me. "So that's two damage on the blue one."

I think you just got lucky, or maybe I was unlucky, but my large base pegs are super loose on my lambda. The small ones fit fine on my imperial vets and inquisitor but did not fit my old defender. Will have to check through the collection at some point but not had chance yet. I had purple ones though so maybe it that lol.

Glad to see that they work great with all waves released so far. I opened an Advanced Prototype and took it to an event but left the base and peg for it in the package since my Plano had more than enough of those in it. I was annoyed when I got there and begun setting up only to find that Inquisitor was too loose on the peg. I kept mistakenly grabbing him by the ship for movement also, so he fell off a lot.

I just hope more colors eventually come out, if these are a success. I'm not sure what to outfit my Empire ships with. I want black and have been thinking about getting purple in the meantime.

My large base blues are really loose on my YT1300 too

How I plan on using mine.

Rebel Alliance are Red

Galactic Empire is Green

Scum is Orange

Resistance is Blue

1 ^st Order will be Purple

and last but not least, Clear will be for the Yuzzahn Vong

Dang, I didn't even think about other large ships.

Fit: Hound's Tooth, Punishing One.

Passable: Lambda-class Shuttls's socket is already cracked, but it's snug; one of my Slave I's is a little loose, but tight enough that it won't come off if I pick it up by the ship during a game.

Loose: Decimator, Outrider, Millennium Falcon, and my other Slave I. Bummer.

Re: old TIE defender, the peg is big enough that lining it up with the defender's socket is tricky, but once I have it lined up it fits fine, if a little tight.

EDIT: My Starviper is REALLY tight. At first I thought it wasn't going to fit, but it finally did after I lined it up right. I think the more you have played with the old ships, the easier it is for them to fit the new colored pegs
