Looking for rules/stats on a Cross-Guard Lightsaber hilt

By A Fire Marshall, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

Nobody thinks it'd be unwieldy? Really?

After all those pre-TFA videos where lots of people demonstrated how a crossguard could hurt the user?

Actually, I saw a really good video where the guy (who was quite proficient with a broadsword) had dipped the cross guard into white paint, so that anytime the cross guard touched his arms, it'd be very obvious.

After several minutes... there wasn't a spec of white on his arms or wrists.

So an energy crossguard is only a problem if the wielder is an incompetent swordsman. Something that Kylo Ren certain was not.

I don't know about that, because he took his time defeating Finn who had never used a lightsaber before, and then lost to Rey who also had no prior training.... But I digress :-)

Not to derail but he was hit by a frikkin bowcaster! He's lucky he was still standing.

Bowcaster, and the fact he was pretty much toying with Finn for most of that fight, due to a combination of not being in his right mind (more so than usual) and wanting to make the traitor suffer both physically and emotionally before squashing him.

But once Finn got in a lucky shot, Kylo ended the fight right then and there, making sure that Finn wouldn't have anyone's back.

As the owner of s couple of swords, and as numerous other videos that contradict the ones you mentioned, a cross guard saber is not dignifucantly more dangerous to wield than a standard lightsaber.

I've seen some of those videos by so-called "experts," and the ones I watched only demonstrated that the people saying how Kylo's crossguard 'saber were dangerous only demonstrated how little they actually know about proper sword usage or how the prop for Kylo's weapon was actually designed.
