We need a way to fire ALL ordnance at once.

Or maybe even a way to launch TWO at the same time, so this way Slave 1Y-Wings etc, can do it ONCE and Bombers and Punishers can do it TWICE.

Obviously it should be a mod so you can't stack guidance chips with it. Should it have a high cost? I imagine you should have to shoot everything at the same target, so one HUGE alpha strike. Maybe if you do it you have to fire at PS zero?

It would be kinda thematic with the whole "my ordinance pods have ordinance pods" thing they got going on.

Would be interesting if it somehow specified all the dice had to remain unmodified. Like it took all the ships power and pilots focus just to fire the entire salvo, so nothing left for target locks or focuses

Before U-boats with the number of games where I lost ships that wasn't able to fire off a single missile/torpedo I would say that won't fix all of ordnance. The contracted scout Deadeye is what solves the problem with missiles and torpedoes, they are just too difficult to get off especially with all the arc dodgers from Palp ace.

Here is an idea for an upgrade. If you have a blue target lock token at the start of the combat phase you may make a free target lock action on an enemy ship inside your firing arc. That will help you to be able to get those needed target locks for ships you plan on attacking rather than just watching people swap out the ship you want to shoot a missile at once they recieve the TL token.

I'm looking at the curious case of a Marksmanship TIE Bomber with 2x Cluster Missiles for four attacks with full focus conversion on all attacks. Rhymer comes in at 39 points with Marksman/EM/Cluster/Cluster.

12 modified dice for one ion? No problem. I can do it again in short order (since I very likely just killed the a big threat - shooting at a high HP low AGI ship)? No problem!

I'm thinking it would need a bigger drawback like specifying two separate and different ordinance cards, two ion tokens (to future proof against large base ships) & one-shot discard (see Bomber example above). As of right now only the Jumpmaster can manage two torp shots and Dengar potentially has his 'in arc' revenge shot. That's nothing to sneeze at either.

Otherwise can you imagine the Scout with 2x Advanced Proton Torps & Marksmanship??? 6 out of 10 die straight to hits essentially. Sure you need range 1 but the scout has enough health to get there. Not a bad investment for the squad points. It'll wreck most small base ships and put a big dent in large bases as well. Assuming the green dice abandon your opponent in their time of need, of course.

Well, not quite, maybe I should have worded it differently, because you'd still need a second TL for your second shot.

But yeah, I think it would work beter in Epic.

Only if it is 25 pt upgrade and you can only fire one ordnance from each slot. Would only work on a few ships.

At the end of the end phase, after the clean up step, you may discard this card to perform attacks against your last declared target, from all your remaining Torp and Missle uprades, including any remainng Extra Munition tokens. Then suffer 1 damage and receive 1 Weapons Disabled Token and 1 Stress Token.
