FAQ 4.2.1: C3PO and Juke

By Khellendr0s, in X-Wing Rules Questions

So I was doing some new FAQ (4.2.1) reading. I stumbled upon this new chart for figuring out when abilities trigger, and got to thinking, in the context of C3PO and Juke, how does this work?
And then I got confused (bear with me this one's a biggie):
The chart (pg. 6) makes it clear that when defending, the attacker modifies dice first (i.e. Juke)
Then, the defender modifies dice (i.e. C3PO).
So basically, C3PO is Juke-proof because he takes affect after Juke. Cool. Makes sense.
BUT THERE'S MORE!
The C3PO specific FAQ entry (pg. 13) states that a C3PO result can be modified by Juke.
I am confused. Not clear which rule takes precedence/if my understanding is correct in both cases.

If anyone can enlighten me it would be appreciated.

Thanks,

C3p0 states the added result happens before dice mod, which would mean before juke.

Probably part of the reason c3p0 stopped appearing, that and he isnt super powerful anyway.

Since he adds a result immediately upon rolling before ANY mods, and added results count as dice, it can be modded. Obviously cant reroll since it isnt a physical die but it can be set to a focus or cancelled via crackshot.

Juke, however, cannot mod Autothrustors since Juke mods before Autos. C3P0 is the only die mod juke can mod, afaik

I think the half MoV rule and popularity of TLTs had a bigger impact on C-3PO usage than the way the timing works with Juke. You just aren't seeing much of the ships that previously got a lot of use from him.

You absolutely CAN reroll the die added by C3PO just like you can Juke it. By RAW it is a physical die, that's how adding results works.
