Why did the tactician k-wings give away two stress during worlds? I thought you can fire just at one enemy with both shots, so you declare your target once. Does it work differently than R3-A2?

Tlt only declares target once. So you get one stress from the primary shot, one fromcthe tlt

R3-A2 only gives stress when a target is declared. Tactician assigns the stress after performing an attack.

TLT only declares a target once so R3-A2 will only assign one stress from a TLT attack. The BTL-A4 title lets you declare a target for that attack so TLT+BTL-A4 results in two stress.

Previous to yesterday, Tactician triggered after each of attack from a TLT giving two stress per round. As of yesterday, TLT only gets to apply after attacking effects once both of its attacks have completed. Now TLT+Tactician only gives one stress.

That triple K-Wing with TLT+Tactician list took a rather sizable nerf with the most recent FAQ. I don't think that it would have made it as far as it did if the current rules were in place at the time.

R3A2 gives stress when you declare a target. Stresshogs declare a target on the primary attack (1), then declare a target on the TLT attack (2). You don't declare a target twice during a TLT attack because it has to be the same target.

That build did not give 3 stress before this FAQ, and does not give 3 stress now.

You did not declare target twice for TLT before this FAQ, and you do not now.

You asked why Tactician behaved differently at Worlds. It did so because it is a different card with a different trigger.

Nope. TLT and Cluster Missile now only have a single window for after attacking/defending effects and it is after both attacks have completed. TLT+Tactician is a single stress token.

Worse for stress, better for damage.

Which is why there are better options than Tactician now
