Rest, Strain and health

By Arc 724, in Imperial Assault Campaign

I've watched videos go e through the Learn to play and my group is about to start the campaign.

If a heroes Endurance is 4, he has 2 strain and 5 hit points. If he Rests he removes 2 strain and 2 hit points.

- he now has 0 strain and 3 hit points.

-- (¿)next round he moves and rest and recovers all of his hit points. ?

-->Additional to the above question. If the above is true could he rest twice and recover 8!?

That's correct. Rest takes off strain first equal to endurance, for every point of endurance that you didn't have strain to remove, you take off the damage, and you can rest twice. Only heroes can, allies and villains can't rest and don't take strain (any strain forced on them takes damage instead).

Yes you can rest twice. But don't be fooled, using both your actions to rest means that you haven't moved or attacked; so you'll likely take another ten damage that round! If you're going to double rest make sure there aren't a lot of enemies near by and if the round counter is ticking down, you'll really have to consider how important that four damage is.

Yes, a hero resting twice means that the imperial player has been rather effective.

A hero can still suffer strain for movement points twice per activation, so the hero can move a little and still rest twice. If Fenn has Tactical Movement like he should, he can move upto 4 spaces and have two actions left.

An important rule is also that a hero can recover 1 strain by spending a surge during an attack. If the hero has not suffered strain, he will recover 1 damage instead. If you keep strain in check the Rest you need to take recovers damage instead of strain and you only need to Rest once (and Attack with the other action).

Thank you all! I just wanted to double check. That should be most helpful. I have a player who will probably attempt to rest all the time. Lol.
